Hmmmm, I have a somewhat silly question . . . :P

When emperors speak (like Ryuki in Saiunkoku), they always use "we" instead of "I" -- it happens too often to be a translation mistake -- is this how emperors refer themselves? O_o

The use of the "imperial we" symbolizes that the head of state embodies his or her entire country and people. I believe it's still used today by royals like Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

In Saiunkoku the writers occasionally have Ryuuki use "I" around Shurrei to connote the intimacy of their relationship.

Ahhh, I see! That makes sense. I'm glad I asked, or else I would have not known about Shurei and Ryuki. That does add another layer of intimacy to their relationship. In fact, I had no idea about the intimate use of first names and its connotations until La Corda. *ashamed* So many things get lost in translation.

Most probably you can't. It's most probably a physical feature of your keyboard. Internal wiring of the modern keyboards use shared signal paths for several keys. Depending on which keys are in question the maximum is usually somewhere between 4-7 keys.

Gaming keyboards are better, but then again usually quite a bit more expensive.

Even my 60$ one has a 4 at a time limit, a game pad would solve this if it can be played with one...

keyboards have a very little memory space. Also, they can't really send too much information at the same time. otherwise the cpu would get confused. Something like that anyways.

Not exactly. First of all keyboards don't really need memory, while there are some transfer buffers they don't need to be large. I think the per character data is somewhere around 32bits (including idle, sync, packet). Maximum transfer capacity of USB 1.1 is 12Mb/s which sums up to capacity of 393216 characters per second. Pentium 3 @500MHz is capable of around 1,6 MIPS (Million instructions per second). Current CPUs are hovering around 30-50 MIPS.

Getting a CPU confused just by dataload from typing is something I want to see...

I've heard that Razer and Logitech G-series keyboards should be quite good in this concern. No guaranties with either though as it much depends on which keys you're using simultaneously and how the wiring of these has been done in the given keyboard.

College students, from what I can understand, do that for their thesis papers. My history teacher had a book for his thesis.

Kinkos can do it though I jsut get a 3 ring notebook holder and some clear plastic inserts, the pappe goes into them they can hold 2 papers each so you can have it on both sides but if you got 30-50$ you can have one printed and bound.

Something i was thinking about on the K-ON sub-forums.

IF someone learns how to play guitar, will they also be able to play a bass? i.e. Is there any difference in how the two instruments are played.

There are some differences. Scales for example and playing technique is also a bit different. So not quite automatically but makes it very very easy to learn though.
