It was yesterday (from the day you posted I mean). If I recall, for online people, those who have the barcode serials for the first OVA can actually get priority in pre-orders on certain sites.

I have the first story (Dogs 0) on order, though do you people think i could watch this without reading that, or would you recommend the opposite?

You'd be fine either way. The OVA sticks very, very close to the manga (I didn't notice any differences at all), so you don't have to read it to know what's going on. I read it first, so I knew what was coming, but was still astounded by the sheer unrivaled awesomeness of the OVA.

But if you decide to watch it first, read the manga anyway. It's been amazing so far, and wonderfully bloody. You won't regret it, I promise. ;>

Wait i'm a little confused here. Is this production an adaptation of the first story Dogs, or sequel manga Dogs: Bullets & Carnage?

It's the first story, Dogs: Stray Dogs Howling in the Dark (the independent character stories), not Bullets & Carnage (the ongoing sequel). Sorry if I caused any confusion; the two just kind of blend together in my head. ;<

I was just a little bit confused after reading this article.

Thanks for setting things straight. I'll wait and see how long the manga takes to arrive in the post before i decide which one i'll experience first.

Man that was good.

Mihai's story was really great and Badou's was so much fun, really nice art and character design too like the Prologue 0 manga that just got released here. I can't wait for the other two characters.

Hopefully these sell enough to convince them to animate more.

Appart from a bit of an odd pacing, I felt that this was done suprisingly well.

I enjoyed it, It was quite different from what i was imagining it would be.

I love the way it seems to be a series of vignettes, the first one led into the second quite well, and I think the dark haired girl we saw in the second is also in the title splash, right? Can't wait.

Eh, just watched the first two episodes, and hate to say it, but the manga's better. That's doesn't really mean much though since the manga was far from remarkable in the first place. Horrid pacing, with angst for the sake of angst. Episode two was slightly better, though not by a long shot. Knowing my low opinion of the manga, I was at least hoping for some quality animation and direction, and all we get is this. Next!

yeah i wanted to like it, but the animation was awful. the action scenes looked terrible animated, parcticularly Badou's rampage. it looks like it was done in flash or something.

Got vol.2 in the mail the other day, finally saw Blade Maiden. The dialoge is severly fast, compared to drama cd. I wonder why this is.

The other guy with white/grey hair seems its a badass with the girl too .

Deathkillz ~ You're dead ^__^* ~ Graphic Designer Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: uk, England Age: 23	I am honestly shocked at how good the OVA was... ep 1 Spoiler: Well basically split into two parts with the first being completely different from the second, but I still enjoyed everything. The first part was about Mihai's fallen past and the tragic incident that left him crushed...I think his appearance says it all compared to himself 15 years ago. The story seemed to be like a prologue more than anything which was surprising for me once we got to the second part. But still the short 15 minutes was enough to give me a taste of some strong emotions and complex characters which just screams "this is going to be a good series" across the board. I knew that Ian had some father complex which was the basis for his attack on Mihai's lover. In a way, Ian was a tragic character in his own right as his unsecure 10 year old self brought him to become the psycho that he is today. The end result was also tragic and having Ian die right off the bat was a shock...in a good way. It shows that this series has the balls to be something more mature and deep. The second part of the episode featured a reporter guy straight out of Index...no seriously, the guy is Stiyl . This part showed a more lighthearted and comic side to the story and ignoring the fact that Mihai somehow survived and how the dude was never shot once, it was still great. Azuma Denton ~AD~ Join Date: Oct 2006	Just watch the sub version last night. Spoiler for dogs: The first part start out with a gloom setting. A retired assasin back to his workground after 10 years. Nice characterization there. How Mihai hated Ian because she kill his lover but cant shoot him because he is like his own child. The second part, OMG, a retired magician from Index now become a scandal chaser. N quite hillarious how he cant get his smoke, and finally snap out and pull out his Uzis.. But to be able to shot two Uzis in full auto mode, n manage not to kill anyone, is that possible??
