It's the eyebrows. It wouldn't look so much like Haruhi if it weren't for the eyebrows.

Really? I'm actually going to say it's the ribbon that does it

Lots of girls in anime wear hairbands. I know not many have ribbons on them, but...

It might be the combination of the eyebrows and the ribbons.

I dunno about the rest of you guys here but this looks very interesting to me despite one of the characters looking similar to a certain Haruhi. Anything that is Key or semi-Key related, I'm there. There's been mention that the other character looks like Nagato, I don't see the resemblance between the two. I mean, maybe the eyes but they still look totally different to me. Well whatever... I look forward to this when it airs.

this anime is supposed to be a parody of Suzumiya Haruhi

Okay. See.

First off, never link to Sankaku without a NSFW tag.

Second off, Sankaku should never be used as a news source, ever, unless it actually cites its sources which it never does.

Finally, there's no evidence that this is actually a Haruhi parody. It might just be a coincidence, though that's doubtful.

Geez, Haruhi is already a parody as it is, and I've never been a fan of meta parodies. They tend to be conspicuously normal.

Well, Haruhi's ribbon is quite distinct from most other anime ribbons... since it goes all the way across the top of her head and has the bows on the sides... you usually only see one or the other

but yes, I think it actually is the combo of eyebrows and ribbon

Why are Haruhi fans getting so butthurt over a similar character design to Haruhi.. when freaking Nagato Yuuki is a dead ringer for Rei Ayanami. And they are even the same character archetype which you can't say for the "ripoff" in Angel Beats... at least for now.

Haruhi is supposed to be this huge sendup of cliched anime characters and tropes. It's also primarily a comedy.

Besides, Yuki looks nothing like Rei except for the general hair shape. (Different builds, etc.) This girl, on the other hand, well, is pretty much recolored Haruhi from what we can see. The way she's described makes her sound exactly like Haruhi, as well. And then there's the whole "SSS" thing...

This honestly looks more like a ripoff than a parody. Parodies are usually comedic, and this does not look comedic.

However, even then, this will still be great because it's written by Jun Maeda. I'm watching it.

Uh... What? Ok, I can totally see where the "She looks like a total Haruhi-ripoff"-people are coming from, but how does the other girl even slightly resemble Nagato?

How is it a ripoff if the plot is competely different?

Because it's the way of the Internets for people to jump to snap conclusions based off of preliminary and superficial data.

As for me, I don't care at all whether there's an once of originality in it, as long as it's enjoyable. I feel like if originality was important to me, I would have stopped being a fan a long time ago.

We'll see what the future holds for this show.

It's called a "mixed media" project, which means that it was designed from conception to be released in multiple forms at once (unlike the traditional style where you have one medium first and other "adaptations"). You can be sure, given the producers, that there will at least be an anime, a manga series, and a ton of CDs released. We don't yet know what other forms of media will be included; a game would certainly make sense, but time will tell...

It's a ripoff character-design/concept-wise, not plotwise.

I'm not complaining, I'm just saying: Yurippe is a Haruhi ripoff.

Nothing wrong with that if her character works with the plot though.

This is true, buy you can't deny that she's very obviously 'inspired' by Haruhi.

The real thing everyone was complaining about was "Bawww Little Busters is delayed".

i wonder if the ribbon on the hairband would make her less haruhi-ish. Either way I wanna watch I wonder what everyone else will look like.
