Kana blaming everything on aliens sealed the deal. Just the kind of absurd humor I like. The style of comedy reminds me of Ichigo Mashimaro. Which is a good thing.

My guess is Kana's Grandmother owned a few companies and held many antiquies. Which those guys were moving to a museum. And I bet when this series ends, it turns out that Kana OWNS the newspaper delivery company. And her guardian was late that day to pick her up.

Hahahaha! Haruka is such a sick twisted pedo-lolicon and heck, I damn well love it!
First it is her 4 wheels then the 3...haha, her imagination is boundless for a lolicon. I approve!

One thing I just love about this series is that they don't hold about on the yuriness and by going over the top, it actually ends up being funny. How can you just watch the scene with Yuuki getting up for her OWN mouth to mouth without laughing, you can't and if you can...you aren't human (or don't have a sense of humor).

The chief going through with Kana with the dangers of being a delivery girl is actually quite realistic much to Kana's dread. The thing with the dogs and what goes on in the park toilets are both very noteworthy things and quite hilarious coming from an elementary kid. But when Haruka dragged kana to the toilet herself...I had to pause to catch my breath or I might as well had died.

But nOOOOOoooooOO...why do I hear Nagi all of a sudden, and it is her tsundere mode as well of all things >.<'

Thankfully though that wasn't enough to even damper my mood one bit and I loved the episode all the way to the end.

Quite the underrated series, this.

After two episodes, I do not know what to make out of this one. OK, some situations are genuinely funny, while in others it feels that they try too hard to pull out a smile from the audience. Also the whole loli and yuri stuff feel somewhat detached, not comedic. Remove them and you'll get Mahoraba. Dunno, it seems to me that there is no direction in the writing.

All I can say is that you are probably watching it from a wrong angle or that you have a thing against loli or yuri (which is understandable).

Sense of humor is such a personal thing. This show hits mine dead on, so far, but there are lots of supposedly funny shows that just leave me cold. So it's reasonable that some people wouldn't relate to the humor here.

But I'll rewatch with Malkuth's thoughts in mind. A show that was like Mahoraba would still be a good show, for me. I loved the compassionate humanity of that show. This show does give me some of that feeling: a funnier yuri version of Mahoraba.

No, I have nothing against these elements in shows as long as there are there for a reason or the focus. My problem with Kanamemo is that it seems that they were thrown just in order to expand into a specific audience.

I did not bring out Mahoraba as a negative example, I also liked it. The reason I mentioned it was to pin-point how distracting some elements in Kanamemo were.

- Kana have the power to draw every tsundere loli characters (appeared so far) into her ...... xD
- The anime itself is relaxable. I like pictures appeared during the commercial break
- The chief is awesome

Such a famous seiyuu cast. I started to have strange thought about the chief pull out Ranguren to punish those who don't pay, and we have Kyou and Sheryl make out in a public toilet booth xD

The episode was entertaining; I think I got used to the weird set of characters already. Yuki.. Yume.. Dairi and even Haruka. The only one I've seen close to normal right now would be Hinata :P Well, well, well, what do you expect from a yuri anime?

What I liked most in the episode is probably the time when Kana was learning how to use a bike. Amidst from having thoughts like 'After so many tries she hasn't progressed at all? How stupeeeeeed', it was fairly amusing. Also, add Kana blaming everything to aliens and invations in that ^^

On this episode the new character, Mika was introduced too and what do you know.. she's a tsundere. Why is it that there is like at least one tsundere in a slice-of-life series?

I give this episode an 7.5/10

Saki's good at pulling off the "innocent elementary schooler" thing, but beneath it lurks a devious little mastermind. Such as her plan to have Kana's smile scare away Nagi Mika's potential customers. The appearance by one Mr. Alan Smithee was nice, and the show continues to be entertaining.

Next week - to the world of Black RX pool!

Ep3 had some good bits, but didn't do as much for me as the first two eps. Some nice voice moves from Mizuhara Kaoru, Kugimiya Rie, and Horie Yui.

Spoiler for ep3:

Two-faced Dairin-san was great, with some of the credit going to Mizuhara Kaoru. I loved Kugimiya Rie's "umu." And Horie Yui's late "kawai-i-i" was a beautiful long trip.

I think of Hanazawa Kana and Sasaki Nozomi as having the most moe voices around, but Toyosaki Aki is catching up with them a bit. She's certainly getting the moe roles, anyway, and doing something with them.

Toyosaki is "okay" as far as having a cute voice. Though sometimes it is quite like an annoying whine in my ears (namely in her Hatsukoi role as Koyoi from time to time).

I was trying to be sparing with my praise, since I'm not overly fond of her voice myself -- especially compared to Hanazawa Kana and Sasaki Nozomi -- but she does seem to me to be making moe characters work.

I wouldn't know about Hatsukoi since I really found it impossible to watch. Three eps and out in a burst of boredom and annoyance. Kind of like Tokimeki Memorial: the humor and characterization just didn't reach me at all. Even more annoying since other people got pleasure from both those series, and I miss out.

Two-faced Saki and demon-smiling Kana was pretty funny. I'd say this episode is the best yet, because it was funny all the way through, instead of just part to part.

Funny episode is funny and warm & fuzzy :3

So an episode that is pretty much about Kana perfecting her perfect smile which just brings me to think that she isn't human, if she can scare Dairin like that

Speaking of which, Dairin is the perfect example of how being two-faced should be like. Even more hilarious since she is basically exploiting the young minds of elementary kids to earn more money. This is one kid who will go on to be quite successful in later life and this is just another reason why I love this series so much...despite being chibi, the motives behind Dairin's actions are quite adult-like and applies in real life situation. They say the ones who get to the top have multiple personalities suited for each situation, and Dairin just proves it right off the bat.

Still because this is an innocent, comedy series, her actions are damn right hilarious even though we know it is all fake (ironically exactly why I found it hilarious). Her "nico nico" personality is tooth decaying sweetness but instead of being in pain, it was funny. This is how you do a moeblob personality (stares to the side).

Kana on the other hand smiles like someone from the underworld and once again it was hilarious to watch them recycle it until the end...where after lots of practice...she looks like a shining Buddha

Mika also surprised me greatly and that is because despite being a tsundere oujousama type character, she isn't without brains and can actually adapt to her situation without being totally controlled by her "tsun" side. How refreshing to see a character of her archetype actually have a brain and can think ahead and actually be nice quite normally. Her speech patterns is also great since it reminds me of the way Horo speaks (just what is that kind of speech called anyway?). And thus, all of the characters are lovable in this series for me, and it couldn't be a better feeling!
