Such as it would, I believe Itsuki said something along the lines of how it would just confuse Haruhi and thus hasn't done it so far. I admit that thought has crossed my mind almost every time.

It's obviously intentional that they hide it, but it's really weird to think of Kyon changing expressions so fast.
