We cut inside the mansion to Natsuhi. She is smiling bitterly as she watches the cousins play outside. Genji approaches telling Natsuhi the master wants her. Natsuhi asks him to take her to him, and mentions something about lunch and being tired. Eva apparently started right away hounding about seeing Kinzo. It seems they weren't completely fooled at the last council.

Natsuhi asks Genji something about their plans, and Genji lets her know he, Shannon, and Kanon know their duties for the day. Natsuhi isn't worried about Kumasawa because she is a skilled liar, but Nanjo worries her, since he doesn't like keeping the secret. Genji says he plans to stay near Nanjo as much as possible, prompting Natsuhi to say he is reliable, and that she couldn't do it without his help. Genji is grateful for her words.

Things grey, but meta-frame doesn't appear. Beatrice appears, saying not to worry, because the magical barrier of the study is perfect, and that noone can expose the secret as long as the barrier holds. Natsuhi appears, and says she understands. Then, she asks if Beatrice heard the conversation in the drawing room, which Beatrice says she did. She agrees they must be suspicious about the previous year, creating a terrifying anti-magic toxin.

Natsuhi says something about critical moments. Beatrice looks put out, and says they will get by this year, somehow, but that by next year it might be impossible.

Ronove appears, agreeing about the anti-magic toxin building up and maintaining "lord Goldsmith's magic" becoming more difficult the next year. Natsuhi is surprised, and asks who he is. Beatrice laughs and explains, and Ronove greets Natsuhi. Beatrice says he is reliable, and is protecting the anti-magic barrier. Natsuhi introduces herself.

Gaap shows up next. Beatrice looks amused/surprised. She says it is reassuring if Gaap is here, although Gaap says she is only there to play. Gaap introduces herself to Natsuhi, and Ronove appears, laughing. He says Gaap is a rogue, and that Natsuhi's headache medicine going missing the other day was Gaap playing around. Beatrice confirms that Gaap steals little articles for the lulz, and that she used to do it to Beatrice herself.

Natsuhi looks slightly put out, and asks Gaap to follow the rules of the house while she is there. Then...asks them to do their duty? They agree? They will preserve the landlord's face. Beatrice says it is fine to rely on them, but that the magic worlds and human world are still separate. Natsuhi understands, and says she will make her own effort in the human world, and with combined will they will protect Kinzo's secret. Beatrice agrees.

Scene change, to meta world.

Natsuhi's hair is reddish that the bottom, and it just so happens that it's a VERY similar red to Battler's hair, though not entirely the same...

That would be impossible-like Klash said, it's highly probable that it's an anagram (I totally forgot about this word orz ) of Ronald, so an E in the name is impossible. Not to mention 'De' of Delanor has its own katakana (デ)

Scene open on Battler in the meta world. He says that there is no real development? LD says October 4th is a preparation turn for her, and there is no need to rush to October 5. LD Laughs, saying things will start when 6 people die.

This is pissing Battler off. He can't start the fight until the event happens, he just has to wait for the six murders. Bern appears.

She says something about first move in chest's success versus second move's chance. LD counters, saying things change as strategy develops, and that it might not hold true is the second mover aimed for a draw anyways. Battler says something about first move and taking victory. LD says it is impossible for him. Bern asks Battler to help her, then, saying the mystery exists on October 4th. She asks if he understands what he can..undo?

Battler says he understands...but no. LD laughs, and says something about Battler's circumstances and incapability. Bern laughs too. Battler thinks about how he has challenged the game several times, but still doesn't know the nature of the witch's game. Something about the mystery being solved and understanding existence of something, witches I guess.

He ponders the significance of existence. And why Beato prepares the mystery. They had discussed in a past game, but something...without an understood existence the mystery can't be solved? He thinks he should modify his views, about such things as how to solve the truth of the mystery.

Why is the mystery created and presented? He thinks he will gain insight if he can understand why Beatrice set it up. In fact, he thinks it would be better to find the heart of Beato, even if the mystery cannot be solved. He should turn over the chessboard. The witches are mocking him, but he doesn't care; they are not his enemies. He will keep/protect? the match for Beato.

End of meta world scene~

The sound of the sea that day, and the wind groaning, outside of the window. He asks if she has already remembered. Natsuhi denies it, stuttering. She says something about possessions? The voice says he did not forget what she did 19 years ago. So he curses her and calls her mother. He suggests he might show at the family council?, since he is the son of Natsuhi. Time split on the day of the council at an interval of 19 years???? He will take revenge on her.

Natsuhi slams the phone down, breathing heavy, and breaks the phone. She hears the sea...even if she blocks her ears, and her headache worsens. She trembles in shock.

Natsushi's son may not be her son (the baby probably died falling), he could've been the servant that was pushed off the cliff 19 years ago. If he really is her adopted child, this could only mean that the servant lives, and continues nurturing the baby until he's a grown man in order to take revenge on Natsushi. Bottom line is, a baby cannot survive on his own, someone must've taken care of him for 19 years and fully understood the scheme Natsushi plotted. The only person that suits the above criteria is the servant, making the "furnitures" in the Ushiromiya family the possible culprits, too.

Scene opens on Hideyoshi in the parlor. He, Rudolph, Eva, and Kyrie are discussing Krauss. Kyrie is convinced he is bluffing, and that they have him on the run. Hideyoshi mentions some stuff about the battle of business deals? and Kyrie agrees. Eva pressured Klauss too much? Eva defends herself, but seems unsure. Rudolph mentions that Rosa is asleep, I think? Hideyoshi and he joke, saying a catnap is a good idea.

They all leave her to sleep. She doesn't notice, and it seems since she is asleep she doesn't know Maria is out in the rain still looking for her rose?

Scene change.

As you may have suspected, the scene cuts to Maria in the rose garden as the rain pours down. She is completely soaked to the bone, but she is obstinate and won't give up. But the marked rose can't be found. As she gets more beaten and cold, the more obstinate she feels. As she continues to search, footsteps approach. Maria doesn't notice until she is greeted. Turning to face them, Maria is surprised...because she doesn't know who the person is. They aren't someone she has met before.

That's true, the game did say the voice sounded like that of a young man's. But as far as males' voices go, their adam's apple usually develops around puberty, some earlier than that. The baby's probably a year old 19 years ago, making him at least 20 when he contacted Natsuhi. My question is how different does a male sound when he's 20 in comparison to his voice when he reaches 40? As far as I can tell, the voice doesn't change that much.

The other thing to consider is, we currently don't know how old the servant was when the pair was murdered by Natsushi. We don't know the gender either (of course, if it was a female, my servant theory is completely overthrown). If the servant was around Kanon's age at that time, he's probably in his mid 30s in 1986, which means he could still sound like a young man and mislead Natsushi into thinking that it really is her adopted son calling.
