Agreed. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but some of these are airing at the moment and it's not hard to at least know some.

thank you for the additional help. between my friend and I, although we watched lots of anime many years ago, but now we only have time to watch a few current ones that we hear more about. While we could try to guess some of these screenshot, like 1 or 2 from time to time, we'd have no clue about some others. Because we don't know a lot of current anime, sometimes when the names are identified, we then go and check them out. It is part of our learning process and restarting point on anime too.

I remember this anime from the 80s-90s, about a martial artist. He looks like Ryu with long hair, and in the OP/ED, we see him with the sun found in the old Japanese flag shining over him, with some solemn music playing. However, there is a strong comedy element in the series. Anyone knows which series this may be?

My memory of this anime is foggy so do forgive me. I am just going to list all the quality of it I remembered.

It has a fairly "old" artwork
Had to do with mecha
The mecha could combine
There was around 5 character who control the different mecha(?)
There was a loli(this I am sure) who had a black looking mecha plane.(this I am not.)
Main character was invited into joining this mecha fight-to thing.(?)
Ending had something to do with a theme park.(?)
They rode across the lake at the end.

Edit: Oh oh, I remember that the loli doesn't always join the fight.
