For your info, AFA 2009 just held a pre-event press conference yesterday (Sept 1, 2009) at Suntec Singapore.

Just five words: Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe.

And, yes, May'n will be back, as will Ichirou Misaki. Also to come, Shoko Nakagawa.

Oh, yeah, that guy called Danny Choo will also be there.
j/k: I may not read his blog, but I'm well aware of his footprint on anime fandom, especially in Singapore.

Also for Singaporeans' info, a handful of staff at one of your local newspapers are die-hard anime fans, too. So, expect to get a little relatively more prominent coverage on things otaku-ish as November draws nearer. (Can't say the same for most other mainstream papers here, shame on them. )

No other seiyu coming? Can I ask: why??

The old-timers got their stuff. What about us, who really would like to talk to a relative rookie?

May'n + Shokotan is already quite good, they're like 2 of the most popular anime singers around now.

Anyway its still early, the last time they announced Aniki, it was like only a few weeks left to AFA.

Well, I actually don't want the popular singers. I prefer those "cao gen" seiyu, those who are there to back up a rookie lead.

Well May'n only got into the anime music industry with Macross Frontier, she's very new despite having singing experience since 3 years old and being an unknown J'pop singer earlier on.

None of these guests are seiyuu actually, all pure singers. I think the organisers don't know how much the fans know about seiyuu.
