Speaking of which, did anyone every compile a list of all the differences between the aired and DVD versions? I remember finding a short one for the first few episodes in Japanese, but I could never find any more.

However, this is still one of the best episodes in the franchise, and the best episode, with regards to animation and attention to detail, KyoAni has ever produced, IMO.

I was sort of disappointed that they didn't add more to the original episodes but i guess they were amazing without anything else added.

They can't add anything to them if they don't plan to re-release the episodes on DVD. That's the reason behind their whole numbering scheme with the new DVDs.

But yeah, they were perfectly fine already.

Yea true,

They still however produce the old DVDs. I guess they hope this rerun will have a knockon effect and boost the sales of season 1 a little bit.
