Looks interesting, though seeing the screen shot and the original art it seems to be a bit off, though I like the design of the lead girl that looks like Miku.

The only thing this has to do with Vocaloids is that if Miku's voice is used in the anime, but I doubt that cause it wouldn't really work well.. The anime itself has absolutely nothing to do with vocaloids in the first place .. pfft.

Watch out, DRAGUN H.E.X., there are no Vocaloids at all in this thread. All these characters are 'Black★' characters who have no relation at all to Vocaloids.

Saki Fujita physical vocal range sound nothing like Miku...but then she can use a different voice. I always thought B*RS was Miku...

Now maybe I see why they animate B*RS then other pv sung by Miku, since it's not Miku herself and there is an actual plot to it.

Can't say I'm all too familiar with Black Rock Shooter, but I'm excited nonetheless. yeah I know BRS isn't connected to Hatsune Miku and Vocaloids in any way imaginable, but the possibility of a true Vocaloid anime can still be in the works somewhere down the road. For now, the animation quality for this is looking really awesome.

Does anyone know of an airdate or something? Even an estimation would be fine.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say that. She's related in plenty of imaginable ways, it's just that the world of BRS doesn't like technically involve Miku, only Miku happened to sing that eponymous song that went with the PV that huke made and which happened to become really popular and all, but some people get really hot and bothered if other people imply that Miku and BRS are the same, though in any case BRS is practically irrevocably associated with the Miku song at this point in the eyes of most fans, even if BRS is like, technically not Miku and...

Well then, I think just going with the idea that Black Rock Shooter=Miku Hatsune being false is the safest bet that I'll live to see another day.

Miku was August 31 2007, wasn't she?

BRS was December 16, 2007 (according to the timestamps on huke's pixiv and blog). Although you could say BRS' design came before she became associated with Miku (the joint PV went up sometime June 2008), and that BRS was not inspired by Miku.

Well I was thinking BRS was conceptualized first before designed so... Miku was born when Japan decided to make their own Vocaloid. Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm assuming the synthesizer was originally not from Japan.
