Even if I haven't read the novel maybe I can understand this developemant... The first (e I hope the last) big fight between hitagi and koyomi was necessary.

It wasn't really a fight. She was just mad and was ignoring him, but when she heard Kaiki's name she became terrified and wanted to protect him by making sure he wouldn't encounter Kaiki again. Hanekawa forced her to apologize and to release him. They do have sex but it's at the end of the novel.

Do we got to see more of Hitagi's dad ? we didnt even get to see his face but i really felt his presence onscreen.

(And i got a little laugh when i found that his VA also voiced Ikari Gendo )

I was looking at the timeline in ja.wikipedia and I saw that none of the novels takes place during Senjougahara's birthday. (July 7) I mean they pretty much skipped over a month between Tsubasa cat and Karen bee. I was just wondering if the novels talk about what Araragi and Senjougahara actually did during her birthday?

Well Tsukihi exists, it's just that the Phoenix has been a part of her since before she was born so there's no way to separate the two. The motivation for posing as his sister is that phoenix is a Kaii that tries very hard not to attract attention to itself. It isn't really harmful expect that it's sort of a parasite, though it prevents Tsukihi from dying from anything other than old age.

Wait, if she can die from old age does that mean Tsukihi has a normal human's life span or a Phoenix's life span?

The next ep should be the day after Koyomi and Hitagi's date. Koyomi meets Mayoi on the way to school again and they have their usual banter. One thing though, is that Mayoi asks him why his girlfriend is Hitagi instead of Hanekawa since Hanekawa is so kind and seems to be a better match for him. Once he gets to school he gets an email from Hanekawa asking for help. As he is about to leave, he meets up with Hitagi so he tells her that he's off on a "humanitarian mission". She tells him to have a safe trip and to not worry about attendance since she will mimic his voice. She makes a comment about how her seiyuu is superb so there won't be any problems. She demonstrates by repeating one of his lines from the date along with a few others.

Hitagi: "Hitagi-san, you are so beautiful! You absolutely my ideal woman! I love you!"
Koyomi: I don't sound like that. Plus I haven't said those things yet.
Hitagi: Yet? So I can expect such things from now on?
Koyomi: ......yeah.

Well he runs off to see Tsubasa and the reason she's been having those headaches is because her cat ears are growing in. She tells him that she's calculated Koyomi's absences and that his being absent that day won't pose a problem to his graduation... She also left her duties to Hitagi as punishment for skipping out on the preparations the previous day. They go off to see Oshino to try and get things fixed, but Shinobu isn't around since she's off on a journey to find herself. Of course Mayoi also mentioned that she saw Shinobu around Mr. Donut. Koyomi goes off to find Shinobu while Hanekawa stays behind. He looks around for a while before he gets tired and decides to enlist the help of his harem and they come one at a time. Hitagi refuses when he calls her since she figured out that he's helping Hanekawa and it's her job to take over Hanekawa's duties. She'll deal with things on her end while she expects Koyomi to deal with the rest. She also gives him some Tsundere Service by telling him that she won't forgive him if he doesn't come back. After she hangs up he thinks about how he's speechless and that he just loves her too much. He also happened to stare at the stairs, and even though they don't compare to the view on their first date, it's still moving. He also thinks about how Hitagi gave him much more than the four things she named. She's given him memories ever since he first caught her.

None of them have any luck finding Shinobu and Black Hanekawa eventually comes to Koyomi and says she isn't there to fight. She wants to help Hanekawa take back control. She helps him track Shinobu and I'm forget the details, but she explains how he is the one responsible for Hanekawa's stress. Hanekawa loves Koyomi and as he grew closer to Hitagi, her stress increased. It was much worse since Hanekawa had to listen to Koyomi and offer advice as a friend. Koyomi doesn't really believe that her stress could grow so much all because of him and the Cat tells him that it's probably because he's never really loved anyone. She comments about how Hanekawa was careless because she was secure in the progress of their relationship. The Cat tells Koyomi the easiest way to let Hanekawa take back control is to dump Hitagi and go out with her. Koyomi tells her that it's already too late since he already loves Hitagi. Well, that is when the Cat tries to kill him since it's the next easiest way to get Hanekawa back. Koyomi thinks about letting her kill him because of how indebted he feels towards her. He basically feels that his life belongs to Hanekawa after what she did for him during spring break. That is before he realized that Hitagi would kill Hanekawa in turn, though. So he fights back unsuccessfully against her energy drain and when he's almost dead he yells Shinobu's name. She comes out of his shadow and proceeds to drain the cat like in the flashback. Shinobu had been his shadow for most of the day. Everyone makes their way home, except that Koyomi needed his sisters to come pick him up since he was pretty weak.

At school the next day Hitagi welcomes him back and congratulates him on a job well done. Kanbaru, Hanekawa, Hitagi, and Koyomi go to see Oshino afterschool, but he's alread gone. They all think about how he's just too nice. Hanekawa and Kanbaru go home while Koyomi goes to Hitagi's place and gets too eat her cooking for the first time.

P.S. Kanbaru tells Koyomi about how Hitagi called her the previous night and bragged for 5 hours about all the dirty things she and Koyomi did on their date. He retorts that kissing isn't really dirty.

Wow i just read Bakemonogatari, Kizumonogatari and the first volume of Nisemonogatari in one go and i must say i love it!( YOU CALL THESE LIGHT NOVELS?!!!, These F*&^ing things are like 450 page plus each!).
Holy shit how did i miss something so good for this long. I m so excited now that i don't even know which one i want to see animated first, Kizumonogatari or Nisemonogatari.
Now i must patiently wait while Nise 2 is being translated in china. darn it i want to read more.

I personally want Nisemonogatari to be animated first since I am dying to see the bath scene with Araragi and Shinbou. But then again I know Kizu would be animated first. Btw I didn't know anyone here other than me reads the chinese fansub version of the light novel too.

I found Nise 2 to be a little harder to get through than the other novels, but then I read the Bake and Nise novels in a about a week and half without taking a break in between each novel so was kinda burned out by the time I got to it. Well that and the fact that Hitagi doesn't appear in it at all made it seem to go by slower. I actually took a 1-2 week break after finishing Nise 2 before reading Kizu so I was able to enjoy it much more. The break also gave me time to translate chapter 3 of Tsubasa cat and appreciate the chapter a lot more. I'm much more partial to Tsukihi than to Karen though. Watch out for the ice pick...

P.S. I'm just about to finish the Bungaku Shoujo novels and all I have to say is that I have an even greater appreciation for Koyomi as a POV character and as a male lead than I did before. Dealing with Konoha for 7 novels going on the 8th has been really trying at times...

when i read the novels i actually read Kizu before i read bakemonogatari and having already seen a couple of episodes about Bakemonogatari. It still took me a week and a half to read the the first 3 novels and then 3 days straight of free time to finish Nise 1.
