Pinako? He did. He was an "old drinking buddy" of her's. As in, when she was young, and looked like she did in episode 27. (They cut out some dialogue with hohenheim and Pinako back in episode 20, as well as a picture pinako had of a young version of her drinking with hohenheim).
There's no indication in the manga of how or when he and Trisha met, though, just that he fell head over heels for her when they first met. Most likely he met her when she was a young adult (18-20ish), but arakawa doesn't actually tell us. And trisha also knew Hohenheim's "secret," which has yet to be shown in brotherhood |

People seemed to have missed it when they watched ep 20, but they did show a picture of young Pinako drinking with Hohenheim at the beginning of the episode. The year in the photo was 1866, the current year is 1914 (or 1915), so roughly 50 years have passed since then. Pinako has become a midget old woman, while Hohenheim is still the same, but all she had to say to him was: "You haven't changed at all" like it was no big deal. Seems like Pinako knows something about him too.

ah wait, yeah, you're right.
Actually, Pinako doesn't really know much about him... One of the dialogue scenes cut was when Hohenheim took the picture of him, Trisha, Ed, and Al from Pinako. He said something like "Pinako, ever since we met so many years ago, you have looked at my unchanging body with no suspicion at all, and you have welcomed me into your home the same as anyone else." Basically, Pinako only knows that Hohenheim never seems to age. At all. |
