SO. Has there been any speculation on what will become of whitebeard? After all he has done for his pirates up to this point, what does everyone think he will do? Will he destroy Sengoku and the marine Head Quarters behind him? Will he successfully rescue Ace or will he fail?


In my opinion, he will get as far as releasing Ace from his handcuffs (possibly with the help from Garp) or, actually even less. He will provide a route for the other pirates to rescue Ace. After that, most likely Luffy accompanied by many other pirates close at his side will get to Ace and help him leave.


As for the Pacifista, they will most likely be destroyed in White Beard's rage or at least still be in the picture as a huge force but they won't kill Ace.


And what about Ace? If he lives, what will become of him? Where is Dragon in all of this? So many possibilities.... O_o

The pace of this arc is pretty much what I expected.

Oda has had most of the big players convene at this war. Naturally, he wouldn't want to completely reveal everything there is to know about them (i.e. names of abilities, full arsenal of moves, etc.). He has plenty of time to expand upon all of that in the subsequent arcs still to come. From a writing perspective, the point of this is to keep us fans interested knowing that there are still many more mysteries to be unveiled.

Furthermore, considering that this is a tumultuous war with incessant action taking place, it's realistic that we wouldn't get to see consecutive/prolonged one-on-one fights. In such a chaotic battlefield, having dragged out fights against one opponent is not feasible. Every duel must be quick because one must constantly be aware of all their surroundings to ensure their survival. It's like how Jimbei moved on to defending himself from other attackers after the fierce punch he gave Moria.

Thing is, there aren't many more mysteries left to be revealed. There is of course Dragon, Kaidou, the last Yonkou, Elbaf, the will of D and a few pirates in the New World. In the last year, Oda has introduced to us Impel Down, the last shichibukai (Hancock), the last 2 Admirals (Kizaru and Akainu), Whitebeard's DF powers, Marco and Jozu's DF powers and expanded upon the concept of haki.

I just think the pace has gotten a lot faster since the days of Arabasta.

Yes, but Oda has just "scratched the surface" on all of those aforementioned characters. He has yet to delve deep into how exactly their powers work and what they're fully capable of.

I dont think that Buggy will be joining the crew for two reason...
1. He dont want to be under Luffy, cause he was formerly a captain
2. Strawhats has too many DF user, more than any other crew... Imagine...
