I think it is ordered as "bad -> good"

This was a bit unfair to Noizi, tough. It is true some early drawing aren't really good (Kyon and Nagato being the worsts), however, it gets really better as the novels go on.

Btw, going only by taht images, I preffer Itou's Ryouko and Itsuki then KyoAni's.

Ryouko I'll give you. Koizumi, not so much. I'm just glad they decided to make Kyon more... adult. He really does look like someone who isn't goddamn 13.

That really pissed me off in the manga. Part of Kyon's essential character is that he thinks of himself as 'adult' and sensible - to a degree - and so to not have that conveyed in the artstyle was very fustrating and made him seem like a, what's the word... phony.

They picked a particualrly bad Kyon for that chart Look that image as an exemple:

Not quite as pretty as in the anime, but certanly not a child. (btw, I like Noizi's shinjin better)

For Itsuki, it is just taste, I guess. I liked his hair style better in the novel (somewhat longer, more "fabulous" )

Speaking on Ryouko, she is the oly one I think it is pretty in the first manga. All the others are really ugly.

True. Even his personality seens to change due to this.

Thinking on it, I wonder how much of KyoAni take of Kyo is the "real Kyon".
