What wasn't explained, but seems a common knowledge in the universe is that, the devil is the product of the creator's wishes and imagination.

Interesting episode, but execution felt poor as usual.

How Lisa was recreated isn't fully understood. All we know is she's a product of some alchemy or a magical creation. Luke behaves in such a reserved manner it's not typical of the characters in this show that have unresolved feelings of revenge or guilt. In my opinion, the writers are charactorzing him in a way that makes the need to further his craft the big motivation. Obviously, that is plot driven to support his need to resolve his guilt.

I'm not saying he is without emotion. It's just buried. Makes it a little harder to feel an emotional connection with the audience. Again, for me and this is very subjective.

In the next episode, Luke seems to open up more and actually show some anger. Have to wait for subs before commenting further. I do enjoy the show just making some observations.

I think Luke is the easiest character in the entire cast to connect with emotionally, precisely because it's so obvious from day one that he's subverting tremendous amounts of emotional pain. His relationship with Lisa has always been interesting in it's mysterious nature, and their obvious devotion to each other despite no apparent genetic or romantic bond. I hate to draw the Sesshomaru connection again, but I think it fits - he's another character that's easy to connect with despite and even because of his outwardly impassive behavior.

What's bothering me is the show feels like it's reaching the halfway mark. A bit more plot movement sure but if this is a one season show, pretty slow development. Hate to get the big boss monster ending and rush through everything else.

As subtle as it was, there was also some additional movement in the romance department. Luke seemed pretty pleased at the end.

Did the anime catch up w/the mangaka already? is that why their are only 12 episodes? It doesn't seem possible to complete this in one episode...this series is defintley going to leave more questions than awnsers

I don't expect them to deal with that Valbanil (sp?) devil. Probably, they'll just wrap up Siegfried. Unfortunately, I don't expect a second season.

They'll rid the town of monsters/siegfried the first half and they'll kill the mountain in the second half. The ending will be replaced with the epilogue where Cecily's clothes have fallen off from all the battle damage and Luke ends up getting an eye full, and then a face full of fist while Lisa and Aria bury themselves in Cecily's breasts. Yup, it'll happen just like that . . .

The two tombstones was the best part of this episode.

Well there is no way they can finish it well in one episode. There is just no bloody way that's happening . I haven't felt like that since the first season of Druaga....Oh well maybe they'll go that route and just announce a sequel in the last episode. At best they can only deal with Siegfried in that episode. Guess we'll see what they come up with.

My condolences to him. But really it's better than using the label "Crazy Old Man" on the tombstone .

They could've just done what they did with the other crazy old guy and give him a horribly spelled name with a normal pronunciation. You know, something like Glzyndr, with a pronunciation similar to Glass-cinder.

Ep 11 was pretty tense, a lot of raw emotion.

That'd be my guess.
