Is this a good idea?

I have this idea, (not saying I'll do it, being I'm lazy) about making a Super Mario Manga. Does anybody think this is somewhat of a good idea?

If so, I may post some sketches.

Good idea. Just make sure it features Luigi and Peach. They're my favorites.

This is just my opinion , but I think the characters from "Super Mario" has Copyrights. That would make your manga "ILLEGAL" if you create it without permission from the creators of the game. You better have permission before you start posting your manga on the internet. But I really don't know much about this issue so just ignore this post if I'm mistaken.
