Pretty interesting as a starter. That's all I have to say. Somehow kind of reminds me of Yozakura Quartet.

Is it because the character designer (Yasuda Suzuhito) for Durarara created the Yozakura Quartet manga, and also worked on the designs for that, and the anime adaptation?

The synopsis of the second episode is out and it just doubled my excitement~ xD YAY!

I'm so happy that this part will be there:
Spoiler for squee:

@ Shiroth
About your comment in my AniemSuki profile, the reason why I'm not using an Izaya icon is because I'm already using one in my livejournal:

As for my sig, he's a character from the series IZAYAkaku. So in a way this sig resembles Izaya already xD Ohohoho!

And the main reason of course is . . . I'm not letting go of my other obsessions. Hehe~

That was a pretty funny moment when I saw her there . Though it seems she had a rough time getting bumped into like that.

Anime original, and the connections are... None at all

It's shameless advertising just a cameo especially since both are adapted to anime by Brains Base

Both titles run in Dengeki Bunko, plus both adaptations were by Brainbase, though at the end of the day there's no real connection. It's just a joke around.

Regarding Horo's appearance in this, it's a shame a lot of us were spoiled with it. The scene was shown in the trailer.

I saw Horo in the trailer but didn't expect her in the series. I thought she was added to the trailer only. It never occurred to me that she's actually be in the series. So I was surprised.

Oh hey, finally someone posted a scan of Durarara from some magazine there <3

(Resizing since idk if this is from animepaper, which is not really the place I want to have strife with. Scans are definitely not mine~)

Spoiler for Q&A, very minor, riddle-ish rant spoiler?:

Well, I did the first time. >_>

The girl may turn out just a faceless and nameless person after all. Mikado just took a look at her when he discussed with Masaomi about "Ikebukuroians". I guess the anime studio think he couldn't look at a gray-colored character, so they animated her in color.
Good points it's probably best for now stick to remembering who mains are.

Hmm, interesting watch with seemingly eclectic and fun characters, and biker chick looks awesome. I'm not purely sold though, if only because Bacanno's first episode was much more memorable and the over use of inner monologues is such a cop-out way of making a character sympathetic.

Loved the ED though (not so much the character designs, but still...).

Yep. The wonderful man known as Takahiro Omori, who worked on both Natsume Yuujinchou seasons, Baccano and now Durarara. That's it for Brains Base, though he has quite the interesting chart from other the years.

He also directed a personal favorite of mine, Koi Kaze.

Don't forget Haibane Renmei and Gakuen Alice. Takahiro-san is forging a place as a real standout in the industry, not to mention as an extremely versatile director.

Somewhat interesting but confusing. For some reason it makes me think of "The world ends with you" game. Anyway, whats the deal with the scar of the woman's neck? Head transplant?

We don't know yet, but that is the prevalent theory right now.
