.MKV problem

This started to happen when I switched from Vista to Windows 7.

When I play file, the OP and ED songs plays normally for a bit, then pauses for 2-3 seconds and then plays normally for a 10 seconds, then pauses again for a few seconds.

The rest of the episode works fine, but the OP/ED songs for any .mkv files. I don't know what's going on. Maybe the lyrics??

I got the latest CCCP(even tried reinstalling and resetting functions) and running on MPC player.

Need help please!

Is it softsubbed? What's your CPU % at this time?

Some random suggestions I can think of:
- switch the renderer in MPC to Overlay (try this first)
- try re-registering filters in the CCCP settings applet
- if the OP/ED is softsubbed, try disabling softsubs in either matroska splitter icon applet or VSFilter applet

OP/ED songs are often more demanding of your hardware than the shows themselves. The songs may have more complex, fast-paced animation, and the music requires more computational power to decode than simple dialogue.

Try SMPlayer and see if that helps. It's entirely self-contained so it won't interfere with any other codecs you may have installed. If you're using Intel motherboard graphics, you might have better success with a dedicated NVIDIA or ATI card, especially ones that support hardware H.264 decoding with technologies like CUDA.

I am using Intel motherboard graphics.

But the strange thing is that it never happened before with VISTA.

And my comp is Dual 3.2GHz with 2MB DDR2 ram.

I would suggest adding some ram then...

Have you tried switching the renderer in MPC? Don't know if it'll help, but it's easy to try:

View -> Options -> Playback | Output -> Overlay Mixer
