I saw the movie last weekend...and am trying to type up a summary (from what I understood - half of the really technical stuff completely escaped me), but it's harder than I thought... I haven't written much of the stuff that Saki's friends reveal in their discussions - most of it concerns what happened in the intervening 6 months. I'll try and get to it sometime over the next week or two, if someone else doesn't.

• Saki finally figures out that Takizawa's message ("I'm always at the place you and I traveled to" - it's in the preview) is referring to New York. Unfortunately, the other Selacao have also worked out where he is.
• Saki flies over to New York with the support of all her friends (except possibly Ohsugi), and inadvertantly causes her cab driver to drop her off at Grand Central Station. She lands in trouble when he discovers guns in her luggage and rushes off with her handbag - containing the Noblesse phone - still in the cab.
• Saki, who had picked up one of the handguns in her confusions, manages to make it to her hotel and call her friends (having been getting the fare, she has her purse on her), who start worrying intensely once they discover that No. 6 was the one who planted the guns. She, however, convinces them to let her visit a certain spot in New York.
• She heads to the Brooklyn Bridge, from which you can see New York's Ground Zero (remember the one photo of Tokyo's Ground Zero that Takizawa took with Saki ? With the two lights pointing up at the sky?) Finding no sign of Takizawa, she takes out the gun and wonders what to do with it...and...
• "What are you doing?"
• Takizawa takes the gun from Saki and throws it into the river (the Hudson, I assume), before taking her hand and running off. He walks off, but..."Takizawa-kun!"
• However, he now knows himself as Iinuma Akira...「俺、飯沼だけど？」
• Saki falters...but tells him that she's in New York looking for someone, and that she's lost her purse. He decides to help her find it. Luckily for Saki, she still has the receipt from the driver.
• On the way to the cab company's head of operations, Saki tells her companion more about the person she's looking for: "Actually, I've found him, but he doesn't remember me," to which he replies: "That's terrible!"
• Not knowing any English, Takizawa gets Saki's bag back by some admirable acting (I've leave you all to watch this for yourself). Having accomplished this, he is about to part ways, but she tells him that, in fact, the person she is looking for is him. At his puzzled look, she shows him the "ground zero" picture that they took together back in Tokyo. Takizawa then invites her back to his apartment for the time being.
• Takizawa has been staying at the Gramercy Park Hotel for the past 6 months. He has no recollection of taking the room, but the key was in a bunch of keys that he found in Washington. Unfortunately...
• No. 6 turns out to be some douche bag who is apparently trying to make a movie as part of his plan to save the world...he causes trouble for Saki because he figures that the prince will come to save 'the damsel in distress'.
• Saki's friends realise that No. 6 has just ordered a malfunction in the heater in Takizawa's apartment, but they can't contact her (?).
• However, the Noblesse phone rings, and No. 11's voice tells Takizawa to get away from the heater/get out of there. As the building explodes, No. 6 is surprised to see the two of them running away safely.
• Takizawa takes Saki to the Angelica Film Center, where he works part time. (According to the programme, after the 60 missiles incident, the police released him suddenly and he was told to go to the cinema where he had seen "Dumbo". Incidentally, the cinema's walls are lined with the same posters at Takizawa's home complex in Tokyo...) They stay the night there in one of the theaters, though Takazawa stays by Saki's side this time.
• Some time during the course of this day, Takizawa tells her that, for some reason, he had been compelled to go to the Brooklyn Bridge everyday. So, although he doesn't remember, he believes her story.
• The following day, remembering the "golden ring" that Takizawa talked about on the cinema's rooftop back in Japan (programme), they make their way to a small amusement park with a merry-go-round. There, barely reachable from a pony on the ride, is a golden ring. (Programme: further evidence that he lived in New York before?)
• Unfortunately, No. 6 interrupts their 'date' again by having the police come to accost the pair...and this time, No. 11 arrives to retrieve them and get Takizawa back to Japan...in order to meet his mother...
• In the meantime, No. 1 takes advantage of the chaos caused by No. 6, and starts getting rid of the opposition. He orders some missile attacks, targeting the trailers that we saw leaving the scene at the end of episode 11.
• Juiz compromises the Eden of the East server, and seems to be working to erase all traces of Takizawa Akira's existence.
• No. 1 manages to destroy 2 and 12, which results in the respective Selecao being taken offline. His final target seems to be No. 9, but No. 11 moves her trailer up to take the missile instead. Thanks to Kuroha's sacrifice, Takizawa is still in the game. He and Saki head back to Japan...

Quite a lot, yes. Most of the things I'd like to talk about involve plot though...so spoiler free is a bit hard. I like where it seems to be going, but there are quite a few things I still don't understand. Hm...but as a very general impression...

Things I didn't quite like:
Some of the animation was not quite up to standard - one traffic scene in particular had colours that were incredibly flat. Music-wise, the theme songs didn't have as much impact as Oasis does, but I'd have to see it again before I can say more. And I'm still finding Americans' reactions to Takizawa speaking Japanese to them a bit odd...

And the things I did:
The development of the Higashi no Eden group: Saki seems to have become stronger in the intervening 6 months, whilst her friends have also become far more responsible, although they're still rather humouress. I found some parts quite amusing, though other people in the theater didn't always seem to think so. It also looks like they're covering some of the mysteries that surround Takizawa - i.e. his past.

To put it simply, I'd really like to watch it again at the cinema...but that might be difficult. Well, I'm looking forward to the conclusion, though with a bit of trepidation too, given one of the quotes in the programme that I bought...

As for other people - I saw it on a Sunday night at the one Osaka theater screening it, about one week after it opened. I actually wanted to go for a 5.50 show, but there weren't any good seats left (capacity: 96 seats - about 16 seats are too close to the screen), so I went to the 7.30 one, and it was similarly filled except for the front seats. Most of the audience was male but there were a few girls other than myself. I didn't really stick around afterwards, but there weren't any disgruntled faces as far as I remember...

Spoiler for Background that might be useful. Possible spoilers.:

• Aftermath of the missile incident. Like the very first time, no one died from the missile strikes. However, the consequences for Japan were dire. Although the government didn't admit taking any action, the 60 missiles as well as those used to counter them were evidently Japan's. Japan was labelled as a "suicidal country" and its standing in the international community plummeted: shares plunged, companies collapsed, and the country's economy reached a very dangerous state.
• Due to this uncertainty, the young people of the country now have a form of hope, of anticipation for what will happen tomorrow - a refreshing feeling that contrasts with the way the country used to be (c.f. Saki's interview during the series).

From programme and film...

Spoiler for things that have happened in the intervening 6 months:

• After the missiles were shot down, police came and accosted everyone.
• Saki found the phone and heard Takizawa-kun's message three days later. In the intervening 6 months, she made several trips to Washington D.C. to try and find him.
• Hirasawa and co. have set up Eden of the East as a real company - some of their employees do indeed look upon the company as a paradise (i.e. they tend to slack). Ohsugi supports them as an outside member - he works at a big sports company.
• Pantsu/Itazu has been digging up information on all the Selecao. He's also uploaded the data from Takizawa's Noblesse phone onto the Eden server, along with a running feed of newly updated information.
• Few of the Selecao have been active in the intervening 6 months, No. 2 being the major exception. Following on from the missile attacks, he has been producing Japan as a "victimised country". He has trademarked the Air King label, and is rolling in cash. (see below for more)
• No. 1 failed to find Mr. Outside. No. 1 has made connections with influential politicians for the purpose of furthering his plan. (More info in Weil's post).
• No. 10 (Yuuki) has disappeared.
• Also, it turns out that the Supporter did not kill no. 5 (Hiura-san), but simply erased his memory.
• Even no. 11 has stopped hunting "Johnnies". She now works for the wife of the current prime minister of Japan.
• A new prime minister came to power after the missile incident - Iinuma Seijirou - but he has collapsed from overwork. He didn't want to take up the role, but did so for the sake of the country. No. 11 is working for his wife...are these two Tak-kun's parents?

Spoiler for more info on No.s 2 and 11:

• Details of No.2's operations. His method of saving Japan is to produce it as a victimised country. Using the image of Tak-kun shooting down the planes, he has presented the Air King as the assailant, and the 20,000 NEETs as the victims. => AKX20000 (i.e. Air King vs 20,000). His aims: to turn around the displeasure that several countries still feel regarding Japan's role in the 2nd world war by setting up the person responsible for the missile attacks as a hero; and if the Air King is assassinated by a foreigner, then the country will lose its hero and thus become a 'victimised country'.
• The Iinuma support group and Kuroha (No. 11). After the missile attacks, the word amongst influential politicians was that it would be hell no matter who became PM. As a result, the current PM collapsed from overwork. As a further taint on his reputation, information that he has a secret child is leaked. This person is also said to have been heavily involved in the missile attacks. The Iinuma support group gains information that this son is in New York, and decides to bring him back to Japan secretly before the mass media finds out more. Kuroha is sent to New York for this purpose...

Lastly, I was mistaken about something in my original spoiler post...

Spoiler for plot stuff towards the end of the film:

Going by the phone logs, Juiz is the one erasing all records of Takizawa Akira's existence, as part an parcel of Tak-kun's last order to make him the King of Japan. She hijacks the Eden server to help facilitate this work, forcing Hirasawa to shut down the server in order to buy them some more time before all of that history is erased.

I think there must be something else with No.12. In the anime he was the one who changed Juiz's location. Also, Saki was being carried in episode 11 by a taxi in which ''Ato Taxi'' was written. That, and the freezeing of the image of the taxist seeing a mobile phone when Saki and Micchon got out of the taxi makes me think that taxist is indeed Seleçao No.12. Maybe this mistery will be explained in the second movie.

I personally think that No.12 is Mr.Outside and he got himself eliminated but without being dead, so he can´t be noticed by the other participants.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific. Do you remember the trailers we saw towards the end of the tv series?

He gets No. 2 and No. 12, and tries to take out Tak-kun's too (No. 9), but Kuroha (No. 11) moves hers up to take the missile instead. Based on this, I assume there were 12 Juiz supercomputers, one for each of the Selecao. Mononobe has managed to destroy 3 of them, including No. 12's.

Yuuki actually appears at the end of the film - he gets in touch with No. 2 after the latter's trailer has been destroyed. Turns out, he broke his own phone, so that the others (presumably Mononobe, really) couldn't track his whereabouts...

p.s. at first, I was like..."No. 10? Who's No. 10 again?" Way to go for standing out, Yuuki...NOT.

*In one of them, Mr.Outside is written.
*In the other one, Seleçao 3, 7, and 8 are written.
-No.2, despise being eliminated, still has his mobile phone. Didn´t the eliminated characters get killed?
-In 0.17 we can see the mobile transference list of the characters. At the end of the anime, No.12 had spent only ￥5,000 in relocate Juiz. Now we can see he has spent a lot of more money. But maybe that can be seen too in movie 1. (EDIT: By the Movie 1 Trailer I see he already was spending more money in Film 1).
-One song called School Food Punishment. That reminds me to one info of the transference list I saw in episode 9 discussion:
*#7 is interested in corporate misbehaviour, specifically in food adulteration scandals
-One new Seleçao and his passport can be watched in 0.24.
-In 0.27 you can see No.3 latest action. I don´t understand japanese kanjis so I dunno what he did.

In 0.26 we see Pants with the list of the 12 Seleçaos mobiles, and while No.2, 11, and 12 signals are still on, No.10 signal is off, being only No.4 and 5 ones the other signals off.
