For the same reason a redesign of a Gundam doesn't look like a Zaku. Re-designs are usually visually similar, at least enough to tell the shared concept, as opposed to a complete trashing and remake. Nothing of those designs indicates any similarity to the source material, as opposed to being art for an entire different series.
