Too bad Daisuke Ishiwatari said there will not be any anime.

Well then, since those words come from the director himself then this can be put to rest.

While I am minorly saddened by this it is good to know not to expect it.

ya he said that a while back for GG i believe, but i choose to ignore it as the license jumps around for it then who knows, Sega could aim for an anime and fail at it like they've done for most things they've tried to do in the last 8-10 years

Daisuke Ishiwatari also said that he still owns the license for GG not Sega, he's planning to release more GG in the future.

I'm not sure why he's not making any anime, he's not making much figures as well. He made these 2 games heavily influenced by anime and attracts otakus alot, yet he doesn't want the games to be selling more. Maybe he wants to keep it to just the game and music.

i actually have no idea what GG's story is. something about a war, gears, and some guy. (and i actually played story mode too)

BB has a much better story. who doesn't love brother on brother action with a yandere robot and potential incest?

Me? The cast of BB is very much inferior to that of GG as well.
And you can't say one has a better story if you don't what the other is. GGs story is normal science gone crazy, world is shit story. But it does it better than most and of course with STYLE lol.

Yeah, right.....

Meh, no use arguing about that, since I'm pretty much disagree with you anyway, and it doesn't look like you will actually try to listen.

well, since you didn't get what i said:
GG's story is fragmented and disjointed at best. most characters are half baked. no one really cared about GG's story. whereas BB got mostly universal praise for its story and development. there's a lot more story to BB than there is for GG.

For me story is the only thing I'll give BlazBlue in a Guilty Gear vs BlazBlue argument (graphics as well i guess, yet they're both fantastic). Besides that Guilty Gear wins it for me in every other category; Characters, music, level design, gameplay, movesets, etc.

I just love the over-the-top style of Guilty Gear way too much. Guilty Gear is a lot of chaos and weirdness (its story reflects this) and Blazblue has a more toned down style, heck the games are actually quite different.

I personally had no idea what the heck was happening in GG, plotwise. I gave up trying long ago.

I dunno, but to me, it seemed like GG made the character move sets first and made a story around that, just like most fighters out there. BB on the otherhand seemed to be the opposite, with the way you have every major character deeply interconnected to at least 2 other people in some shape, way or form. And the major plot of CT has most of the characters being major players in it, barring Taokaka and Bang who both are pretty obvious are just there for comic relief.

Seriously, GG would make a TERRIBLE anime, just like the Street Fighter ones. You'd only really watch them for the action scenes. BB on the otherhand had an intriguing overarcing plot on top of interesting character relationship dynamics, which are the roots of what can be made into a good manga/anime/novel.

As for what is the better game... I actually enjoyed the battle system of GG better, not to mention its music was much catchier (I still remember Holy Orders and Writhe in Pain to this day). But for story? I'd say BB wins handsdown, as I pretty much only played it for the story... and that's saying something for someone who generally plays games for their gameplay and rarely their stories.

So that's Noel's true form eh? I guess this is what they were hinting at for a 3rd new character. Though is it just me ore does she look a little fat in her armored form?

No specific release yet huh? Just this year for Japan.

If we're lucky NA might see it by Christmas time or so, but I have a feeling we won't get it till early next year.

Actually, knowing Aksys it'll probably only be a week or 2 after the Japanese release, going by the precedent set by CT's console version and the upcoming CT portable.

Oh wait you're right my mistake. I was comparing the original Japanese arcade release to the NA console release. My bad.

In that case I s'pose we should expect it sometime this summer like CT.

Stated there in the scan that it's slated for a Summer release. Heh.

We don't even have a console exclusive character for CT. My take is that Mu-12 was added in only after ArkSys discovered that the ROM of CS was dumped for the PC, just so people will at least have a reason to get the console port. That was also explain the reason why nary a year had gone by before they decide to release the game for the Console.

Mu-12 is actually already in the Arcade version as a dummy character, so obviously she was planned before the leak ever happened.

I can dig up all the dummy stuff except the sprite if you want. I don't have the sprite, but this video has the results of someone playing around the PC dump's file structure and applying the Mu dummy character's sprite to Ragna and Tao. The MS paint is not unusual, theres a dummy animation with similar MS paint in Nu/Lambda's own sprites.

My God, it's μ-12! If their convincing me to get Continuum Shift with her, then it seems to be working.

i'm going to assume that she plays like Nu.. but depending on her moveset, /\ might actually be a better fit for me.

i also don't think that's her armored form.
