Hello @ all,
I'm new here so please don't kill me! I only know there is a OVA still in work because I have read an Interview with Koichi Ohata the Director of Burst Angel which was made in September 2005! He said that he is working on 3 Projects at the same time one of them is a Burst Angel OVA He said that it could be released in first part of 2006 (Interview in German!)! And I have seen an Interview with Ugetsu Hakua the Charakter Designer of Burst Angel who said that the series was so popular that a second series will be released as an OVA! And then get a look on the Funimation Burst Angel page under the part DVD you will find a button with the text "OVA" and when you hit the button you will see the text "Coming soon"! What the end of the Show belong I think you should look at the last part of the Intro and you will find something at the end! P.S. Sorry for my bad English but I'm from germany so please don't kill me! Last edited by ahalfmann; 2006-04-24 at 15:23. |

now whether it'll ever see the light of day is a different matter. last i heard, the official statement was BGC 2041 was still in the works, but we see the results of that, or lack of results, whatever. but that aside, the point is there's a slight difference between a rumor and a (possibly) cancelled project. |

o.o Even the last DVD from Funimation has the little advertisement insert... It seems to be a prequal, as it says something like 'every story has a beginning'. It also says 'Coming 2006', although there are no specific dates. I am unsure if it has been released yet in Japan.
The manga is a three-volume prequal, and has been licensed by Del Rey, I believe the first volume is being released in November here in the USA. It was never scanlated. I'd love to be able to say more from that insert, but my copy of the 6th DVD is currently at my friend's house, as she borrowed it so she could finish the series. However, Jo had long hair, and (I believe it was) meg's hair was black. It could easily be an AU, however, as even from the flashback, I believe Meg's hair was at least brown, and just looked darker because of the fade effect on everything but the eyes. So, I'd love to see a conclusion (even slightly more in-detail, like Kiddy Grade was, a wrap-up episode), but I doubt it's going to happen. ~Loves, Suzuka |

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF GGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!! (ahem, sorry geek-out moment)
I don't care what anyone else says! Burst Angel is the greatest series of 2005!! I've bought the first eight episodes on DVD and I have to say that the animation still blows your face off (only the best from GONZO!), the story only gets better and better, the characters unfold with time, and most importantly, FIGHT SCENES!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!! Not to mention that the english VO is stunning!! Shame on those who said mean things about the show after seeing only one episode!! In the words of John Lennon:"All we are saying, is give Bakuten a chance!" Hmm, doesn't quite flow as nicely. Oh well.

I've bought the manga for bakuretsu tenshi and its about jo and meg before they met Sei and Amy. Some scenes are related to each other in the comic and anime. Such as one of the scene for the anime shows Meg counting dead bodies. In the comic, Jo killed 500 cyborg zombies and meg was counting the dead bodies. The comic is far better then the anime (not that i do not like the anime, it was 1 of my fav anime.). However i'm looking for Burst angel vol.1 japanese edition as my friend lost mine. If u guys know any shop selling it in Singapore, plz tell me thanks.
pls u guys gotta get ugetsu hakua's artbook : Flamboyant |

Well it is a matter of opinion. Although some of the characters have questionable choice of clothing, I would never consider ecchi as a main theme of Burst Angel, and I hardly noticed any fanservice. I guess you see what you want to see?
![]() Burst Angel has great animation, some of the best (if not the best) OST I have ever heared. And the character Jo is just awesome. Kinda reminds me of Revy, who I believe is one of the more popular characters out there. And the interaction between Jo and Meg is worth gold. Anyway, great animated action scenes, awesome music, and a character that I will never forget. More Jo please! ![]() Spoiler for some of the music from Burst Angel:

Well maybe not compared to IkkiTousen (Look at your sig), but Burst Angel had Meg - Blatant FS The Loli Jo - Lesbo FS So BA did have it, just nowhere NEAR Ikki levels.

In the OVA opening a couple of years older Sei is seen with a new look and still acting as the leader. If Sei survived, I've hard time believing that Jo didnt (considering everything else she also survived in season 1) she also shows up in the OVA opening, but just for a second.
I believe that the creator had Meg in mind as main character in a second season, and Jo would have been given limited screen time, and that would have sucked ![]() anyway, we will probably never know.
