Why not go and buy a special bookstand for them? Or a special house?

Well I have 1 shelf, 3 cupboards and 2 Ikea display cases and they're all full.

WF exclusive Figma Ui is on my hunting list, the other items should be easy to get.

I can understand the issue with boxes. I've struggled with which ones to keep and which ones to throw out. On one hand the boxes are just packaging, on the other they are kind of like part of the artwork that goes with the figure and not just something to keep them in.

But, I want to see my figures. I just couldn't really enjoy them without having them out somewhere in full view. Then again, I don't have 200 figures/boxes to deal with. I'm only up to 40... I can still count them fairly quickly.

I recently cleaned out all my boxes by putting them in... more boxes.

I got some of my old moving boxes from the basement and loaded them up with figure boxes, then stacked those in the basement.

Yo dawg, I heard you liked boxes...

What I do is store boxes flat and toss the plastic.

As paranoid as I am about my stuff getting damaged, I can't imagine keeping my figures in their boxes. It seems to me that they're meant to be seen, posed, etc, so I ought to take them out. (Besides, it can't be much fun to stay in a box all day ) As careful as I am about displaying them, you really wouldn't be able to tell that they've been out of their boxes anyway (even the figmas / frauleins, which get fiddled with fairly regularly).

I keep the boxes and the plastic, though, just in case I ever need to pack them up (like if I move or something). Of course, I am beginning to run out of places to put the figures and the boxes.

Michael Jackson has a Figma action figure.

Thriller Version

Note me on this one. If he's got the zombie head or werewolf one I'll buy it! Also hoping for a Billy Jean and Smooth Criminal version.

It's an ARIA kind of day.

A little story, first.

I think it's been a little over 2 years since I first saw ARIA the Animation. About the same time I started collecting figures. I fell in love with Akari and went looking for a figure of her. I came across a collection made by Solid Works in 1/6 scale.
These:
http://i511.photobucket.com/albums/s...es/undines.jpg

Trouble was, they had been out for over a year already and the Akari and Alicia ones were sold out everywhere I looked. I wanted to start the collection, though, so I ordered the one of Alice. I kept meaning to go back and get the others, but other things grabbed my attention and they all eventually became sold out.

Amazon.co.jp doesn't ship anything other than books and DVDs/CDs overseas. But, since I've found out how to order stuff from amazon.co.jp affiliates, through tenso.com, I kept looking now and then for the Akari figure, hoping to find one that was "new." Never really expected to find one, but then a couple weeks ago... I saw one!

She just arrived today.

Now, Alice has some company.

I know the face on this figure of Akari isn't the best, but the overall sculpting and finish of this collection is quite impressive. At 1/6, they bring a noticeable "presence" to the room.

The only thing I can think of, as to why the sculptor went with that kind of a look, is from some of the more stylized artwork done by Kozue Amano (the creator of the series). Like these:

And then, coincidentally, my ARIA Company set arrived about a half hour after Akari.

Bought some new cabinets for my ever growing collection of figures. I didn't make any pictures small enough to link here though, but here's a link to my post about it on my website.
