i can hear the theme song in the background!!
& its still kinda weird hearing the japanese using "Autobot" & "Decepticon" instead of "Cybertron" & "Destron", also the same with "Opitmus Prime" instead of "Convoy"

I keep thinking that Megatron sounds as if he's gonna narrate a scene in which Optimus runs around the city trying to find the alls-Packy...

Odd.

I didn't think this show was that great when I watched it here in the US. Optimus seemed like less of a leader in this version than other versions. It focused too much on the little girl sometimes.

Hopefully the Japanese version is improved.

The whole idea was to show this Optimus' progression into that kind of leader, though.

Oh, a subtitled version of the 30-second ad is up.

(By the way, when this airs, would it go to fansubbed or licensed? Technically, it's been shown in the West, but not in this exact format - since they seem to be modifying the story somewhat.)

There's a tie-in manga for TFA now - and here's a 4-page preview!

Some of the little character shots are just golden - especially if you know the Western version.

EDIT: Lyrics!

& it seems that Derrick J. Wayatt (see his Twitter feed) got his jaws dropped when he saw this version of the intro

The ED is out.

EDIT: I saw the raw of the first ep.

It's kind of a shame the first three eps weren't shown all together, since I feel they work better as a whole - but still, it's a start.

So far as the voices go, hearing Archer (i.e. Junichi Suwabe) voicing Sentinel is great! Also, Ryoka Yuzuki sounds really good as Blackarachnia, Norio Wakamoto is suitably imposing as Megatron, and Cho is fun as Blitzwing. However, I'm less sold on Bulk-hide's voice, who sounds a bit old, plus Lugnut's not that great either.

Things seem a tiiiiny bit quicker than the last time I saw the ep, which might be down to a bit of edit shaving here and there - but perhaps it's just a consequence of fitting dialogue from one language into scenes written for another.

I'm not too thrilled on the family bits, though I'm not exactly the target demographic for them. I wonder, though, if they will be dropped if they prove unpopular, or something.

Eeek! Is it downloadable from somewhere? I'm rather interested in the dub, as well as what the series actually looks like in Japanese, but couldn't find it anywhere so far. Could use some help.

Yeah, and probably also due to the Otoboto family's scenes, as well as the longer OP/ED scenes and episode preview, so I have heard.

Probably not the best time to be reminded about Grand Convoy telling you not to sit close to the TV. D:

Ah, but who would you rather be warned by, Convoy-dono or the family?

Ep 2:

Bumblebee does the pre-song intro this time.

Most of it seems familiar enough - though I noted one of the jokes (about Sari's name) was changed around somewhat.

The family bit was more annoying this time around, too.

Weird how you wouldn't expect this kind of... khm, speech pattern(?) from Bumblebee. I thought he'd at least refer to himself with "ore", and yet, just listen to him how polite he is. Which also would explain why the "one servo in the scrapheap" joke was omitted.
