EDIT: Seeing that there's Fio's Litchi and Keita's Tao at the end, there's almost no chance to win this tournament for Matsu.

Matsu is my hero. I've been watching a number of his videos and he just comes up with so many ways to try and even the match up and do as much damage as he can.
But seriously though, what is with CS and all these time outs. It takes 15+ minutes to finish a first to 3 match. This isn't the blazblue I signed up for!

I take it CS Rachel's matchups against a CS Litchi or Tao is pretty horrific then.
Well maybe with the console re-balance she'll be improved to a point where people will want to pick her up again. I'm not surprised that master-level fights could take a while. Those fellas always know when to guard, when to counter, have combos drilled deep into their brains and excecute them all with reflexes of lightning.

Here's the matchup chart taken from Dustloops: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showp...09&postcount=1
![]() Simple way to look at this chart for those who don't understand is that, it is also the tier list, top to bottom. Bang on top, to Rachel at the bottom, and the top row is Bang on the left to Rachel to the right in the same order. The numbers tell you how each character does against each other. Lets look at Rachel vs Bang, 35 - 65, meaning in 100 matches, Rachel will win 35 times and Bang will win 65 times. As you can see, Rachel does badly against all characters, except for Arakune and Hazama at 50 - 50. She is solid bottom tier lol Fio is the strongest Litchi who can corner and combo you from anywhere on the map and Keita the strongest Tao with mastery of the Taunt loop. These guys are the worse nightmares for even Matsu. EDIT: for Arakune instead of Lambda

I always said pink was a manly color, and this Ragna player proves me right 3 times in succession. =p I'm wondering how bad this console re-balance is gonna affect the character's positions, and where Mu-12 will place in it... Hope this doesn't split the fandom into arcade and console sides. ^^;

But I hope it won't be another tier switch again, making Rachel top tier and attract lots of players.

Actually, isn't that around the largest advantage SF4 has in terms of match-ups? I remember some 70-30 ones in SF4 (Hello Sagat?), so you can't call CS incredibly unbalanced unless you call SF4 one as well.
It's not perfect, but which fighter is? I'd take it.

BB CS is the second version and has 14 fighters, is getting rebalanced for console as well as an additional fighter. You can claim they're equal but you have to take those numbers into account.. and SSFIV with 35 characters from most accounts is even better balanced than SFIV. SSFIV Arcade will more than likely add a few characters as well as get tweaked as well, Arcade version is probably going to be DLC for console. Sagat vs Claw is no longer 7-3 in Japan in top play. Izuna vortex works wonders on Sagat... still in Sagat's favour or course... |

This isn't 1994 anymore, Ken isn't a headswap of Ryu so 2P can also play as "Ryu" against a P1 Ryu. There's a reason people like me keep playing as Ken in SFIV even though he's vastly inferior to Ryu, the playstyle is different. None of the incoming 10 fighters in Super play like any of the existing 25 cast members as well..

I got the PSP version earlier in the week.
So far, I ran through the story mode (not quite 100%, though) as well as the arcade modes for Noel, Tao and chichinohito, a Legion campaign in easy mode, plus the odd versus and training bout. I'm not a big fighting game-r, so I got this more to enter the BlayzeBloo shopping setting - and I was not disappointed! The backdrop is very compelling, most of the characters are interesting to follow, plus I like how different (so far) the story told in the Arcade Mode for a character is distinct from the branches in the Story Mode levels. I'm really hoping there'll be a version of the sequel for the PSP. There are a few things I'd like to figure out, though. Spoiler for Qs:
Also, I noticed something when re-watching the opening chapter of the story mode. Spoiler for CT/CS thing:
