I haven't read the manga yet, but should I be expecting a new member going into the band? i recall an image of a pink hair female on image section, can't find it for some reason.

That "character" is generally considered to be a hoax, I think. If I remember the images, she was a "euphonium" player.

Is it officially "Houkago Tea Time" (the spelling I've noticed the most before)
or "Hōkago" (the character usually used for the "ou"-sound)
or "Ho-kago" (the spelling on the new singles)

As far as I know, they're all correct, it just depends on how you want to spell it out.

I use "Ho-Kago", because it's written that way on official materials, but the other spellings wouldn't technically be incorrect. It's a stylisation, like another Japanese girl band, SCANDAL, whose name is always written in capital letters.

The thing to remember with Japanese use of romaji is that they don't really *have* a standard spelling for anything with it. Frequently, the choices are made because of when they learned their romaji or just because of the *way it looks*. The shape of the Alphabet can be considered exotic.

It is like the Pirate Code: "Its really more a set of guidelines, you know"

More seriously... someone *did* post photos for a number of the reference locations in Japan used in K-On's anime background artwork. This is *very* common in a lot of "daily life" anime. Someone may beat me to it, but will try to find them later this weekend.
