My average download speed is about 70kb/s when downloading a single file. I use the experimental version do not know if that makes a difference.
I am on telephone dsl do not know what the line speed is. Well when downloading something of the web with a download manager I average 90kb/s I have seen my bit torrent go over 100kb/s the highest I ever seen it was at 130kb/s but however at that speed my computer crashes within 5 minutes. |

I'm running cable internet so on BT I tend to get 130 - 200 if it's something like a Naruto episode with alot of seeders and peers. The fastest I have seen a file go is approx 300 KBps (which is still kind of slow as my max speed is approximately 530KBps)

2.85MB/s isn't nearly high enough to cause problems (unless you are using a REALLY old system, in which case it would slow down the connection anyways). I have played on systems getting bandwidth well above 128 MB/s. Granted old IDE tops out not much higher than 3MB/s, however most newer IDE setups should be able to handle quite a bit more than that (granted they can't sustain it, unlike SCSI). It is a flaw in the software most likely.

well i get average of like 30-40 a BT.. but i always have like 10 running minimum so total is like few hundred.. sometimes dl will go to like 100.. but thats bout it..
u have to take into account that if u guys are limiting ur upload slots and speed thats going to hinder your download.. i mean u cant be only willing to upload like 5kbs and expect to dl at like 100.. thats not right.. normally have like 2-3 slots open and the upload speed round 20-30ish.. and that works fine.. *help each other out ^_^* edit: about the port settings.. umm remember friends that when u download the default is just default.. u also gotta open all those ports on ur router or firewall... personally just for a extra boost... i just use all ports in existance so if someones out on a limb i can still get stuff to and from him^^ Personal Port settings: 1-65535 Liddo~

lol My ADSL modem is a D-LINK i think model DSL-3001 Am I at my maximum DL speed? I port forwarded and thats how I got my fast speed I used to get 2-15kb/s This is where u can learn how to Port Forward http://www.phoenix-torrents.com/inde...showtopic=9129 I already turned off the windows Xp firewall and portforwarded ports 6881 to 6889 and after that the Dl speeds has increased up to 100kb/s + but im sure my D-Link modem can reach higher speeds so if you know how to configure it please help. |

0 to 1kb/s downloads, though I've seen as high as 30kb/s... rarely. Upload is usually around 5kb/s or lower, despite being set to unlimited. No firewalls, ports are open, still getting lousy speeds. Months ago, I used to get consistant speeds well over 100k/s for both uploads and downloads, but not anymore... the peers like to snub me, these days, blah.
