As far as I know NyaaTorrents.org is hosted at the same provider as www.animesuki.com.

Yes, it's up again. When I read the topic title I thought it had finally shut down since I had read about how they couldn't get the money to pay for the server around a month ago... I guess donations managed to fix that.

That's not it.
There's trouble at the German Internet exchange, DECIX. A key switch seems to have an ethernet loop somehow/somewhere, and that's causing the BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) of the net of several important providers to go totally crazy. The effect for the users is that routing to Germany and France is flapping - routes are switching around, leading to asymmetrical routing and the general problems caused by it. There's nothing you as the end user can do about it other than reloading often and patiently waiting until it's fixed. |

Are you talking about an issue today or the one from last week (hint: check post dates)?
Afaik my response above was accurate for last week's issue that affected NyaaTorrents & AnimeSuki.com (torrent site), that involved a fibercut in the provider's network in Sweden followed by routing issues that (afaik) only involved that provider. |

Oh, if the issue is from last week, then my theory goes McFlat.
I can only say that what I listed DID happen and caused alot of problems in the German internet, and parts of the French one aswell, and I was assuming that it was responsible, rather than a cut fibre. |
