Very rarely, these days. They're just way too expensive for me to manage, and half the time I usually find that the manga version is much better anyway. I'll still buy a title if I really want it or if it catches my eye and isn't too expensive, but I haven't bought have as much anime lately as I used to.

Quite a bit of Light novels and Mangas but Anime, not much. Figures, posters, and CDs come into hand at moderate pace. Just that I don't see much value in collecting Anime series for some odd reason.

Seeing as how my wallet is mostly very thin, I don't buy anime. Although when my wallet is in better condition, I might buy them if I really like the show. But most of the time, I borrow them from whoever I can borrow them from and save the content into my computer's hard-disk.

I leave at least one day each week to look for any new anime, manga, or maybe artbooks if not too expensive. If I find something interesting, I pick it up. Even though I can afford to buy whatever interests me, I limit my purchases (by choice) just so I don't go overboard.

Myself I try and wait for the box set to come out, which is much cheaper than buying individual volumes.

I'm assuming you don't mean "buying" access to legal streams, so in terms of DVDs, I just buy the releases of anime that I enjoy very much, which usually only amounts to a few purchases an year. For example, this year all I've bought so far is the box sets for Kodacha. I buy all of it online.

I go out and buy once a month. Usually Best Buy or the local F.Y.E store. Only recently have I began to hit Rightstuf.com!
Generally I buy three to four DVDs and it's either one show in particular that I'm really following, or multiple samples of new shows.

I pirate just about all my anime but, if I am every out at Best Buy and I see a anime I may be interested in and it is reasonably priced I will buy it. I have only 20 anime DVDs so I don't pirate all my anime just most of it. If a Best Buy was closer to me, gas was cheaper, anime was cheaper, and I don't have to wait as long for an anime to come out on DVD when there is already a fansub up on Piratebay then maybe I would buy more of my anime. So all in all I don't buy that much.

When most of the anime being sold locally here are almost like bootleg copy, with badly translated chinese -> english subs and don't make any sense... downloading is the only way I go now. Note that I don't own a credit card.

Bad experience with 1 series of anime was enough for me.

I mostly check them out in my local library. Overall, I don't buy anime expect Big Lots because they sell anime for $3 dollars a volume. Not bad. I'm increibly cheap so I watch them online.

Not as much as I use too since I am kind of strapped for cash now. Once in a while I'll pick up a boxset from Best Buy. And like Pidgey, I usually grab up all the anime I see at Big Lots because $3 for a volume is a good deal. I actually got the first 3 volumes of Devil May Cry there during my last visit.

I have quite a few DVD boxed sets, but recently any and all spending is stopped because of available formats.

I absolutely refuse to buy anything that's not blueray these days. It's a joke when the fan subs online are better visual quality than the DVDs I can buy. In fact, it makes me very sad.

It's so hard lately! When I was a kid and had an allowance for doing chores, but did not have any bills, it was a lot easier. Now I read, stream, or download the little bits I do watch. As a teenager, before I got a job and spent my money on other things, I would be in Walden Books for my manga and Suncoast for my anime, every weekend.

And that Big Lots tip sounds good, I may have to check it out!
