Does anyone have anything offical for the OP post? Ive look at fullmetal-alchemist.com and not really seen anything besides speculation and now the announcement that it could be live-action? I dont mind a speculation thread Id just like something to open the thread with.

Ohh dammit I hope it won't be live action, humans just don't seem to be able to perform better than anime characters for a wide range of reasons, and besides, this anime series deserves a gorgeous animated movie! who made that announcement btw?

After then airing of ep64, a caption appeared on screen announcing that a theatrical feature for FMA is now in production. It should be noted that it used the Japanese title of the series, without the English "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" subtitle, which means it refers to the franchise in general (or they're being vague on purpose) instead of specifically stating that it is a FMA:B movie. The director of FMA:B subsequently posted on his Twitter that he is not involved with this movie, and that the staff for it could be announced shortly.

That's all the information we have now. There is no confirmation if the movie is animation, live action, done by BONES, not done by BONES, or whether it is related to FMA:B or not. Hope that helps.

Those threads are usually made a week after the last epi airs so look for one this weekend. I will make it a point in the opening post to say the thread will only be about Brotherhood, no comparisions to the 1st series.
