btw, i'll be sure to point out any other instances i encounter. the script suggested a few more, but i can't be sure until i get there.

is punctuation ever permitted before the @ symbol or must an ` always precede it unless it's at the end of a line?

The "@" is simply a pause marker. You should always write it after a ` and then there must be another line after that.

example:

`line 1`@` line 2`\

or

`line1`@
br
`line2`\

the "br" like in html makes a blank line. the "@" causes a pause but doesn't cancel the previous text. The "\" is the ending marker and as soon as the next line gets the displayed the previous text gets cancelled.

Congrats on finishing. If only I hadn't decided to replay all of Umineko. Time to finish off EP3-EP5 before seeing EP6.

Okay after 12 hours of reading (it's already bright outside again, whoo!) I finished the main story and have to praise you since I wasn't distracted by a single little typo or whatever at all yet! Might be my mental state, but anyway, splendid editing for this fast release.

I caan't even begin to express how happy and how much this cheered me up! It was totally unexpected for the patch to come out so early. I already read episode 6, however I'm really excited to be able to re-read through it at a much faster pace. (Episode 6 was the first "novel" of such length I read in pure Japanese. It was fun. But now I can confirm that I read everything appropriately, which I assume I did since everything made sense and I still remember everything but LOL.)

Thank you so much to everyone who worked on this I was having a terrible day till the second I heard this was out xD

There is no information about this.
The consensus about that matter is that Ryukishi will be done with Umineko with Episode 8.
However, there is no guarantee that he won't conclude the franchise with Episode 7 already, or hypothetically an Episode 9.

Thus, it is perhaps better to wait for Episode 7, before raising or lowering the wages.

I know I'm kinda late to the party, but I would like to thank Witch Hunt for everything they've done for us non-Japanese speakers. You guys are the best!

Considering that Episode 7 will be released in a jewel case unlike Episode 4 which was released in a DVD case instead, I doubt Requiem of the Golden Witch will be the last chapter of Umineko.
