Right now, I am 54.7% done downloading episode 5 but there is no seeds or nothing. Can someone please help me out?

Is your file gto_dvd_ep05_[jtv].avi.torrent? That's the one I'm using.

Maybe let it sit for a while... give our computers time to find each other.

Its been 20 hours, 27 minutes, 15 second. Still the same as before. (54.7%)

Do you have AIM or AOL or something?

I did some experimentation, and found that BitTorrent archives appear to need a tracking server. If the server's offline or not paying attention to your particular torrent, we won't be able to find each other no matter how hard we try. (Duh! say the BT pros, but I'm relatively new at this

).

My advice -- and it's going to suck for you, I'm afraid

-- is to wait a while and see if the files come back. When I first started BTing two months ago, only the first episode was available (like now). But some time around labor day they all appeared, and I was able to get them all.

"Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error (10061, 'Connection refused')>"

I dunno what that means. What modem do you have?

It means that Japan Tv bittorent tracker is down.

This is a link to thier forum where you can usually find the latest on whats up with it being down. (Lately they have been haveing problems being up)

Hey,
I was begging for episode 12 a while back, and since I was lucky enough to get it, I figure I'll share the wealth. First off, if you're under episode 6, my recommendation is to check boxtorrents.com and see if their GTO seed is up - the whole series in one package (also have the movie, special, and OST in another). It'll take you a few days to dl the thing probably, but its worth it, and easier than waiting for Japantv. If boxtorrents isn't up (seems to have been having a lot of problems recently) here's the deal:
I have no problem sending files over AIM, but I'm only sending one at a time, so it's first come first serve. SN: AlphaFireStar. IM me anytime after 10PM Eastern.
I have no problem seeding files, aside from the fact that I don't know how. Find me a good tracker and provide me with good instructions on how to set up a seed and we're good to go. If your instructions suck, no torrent, so if that's what you want, make sure they're good. If a torrent does go up though, I expect you guys to seed for at least 24 hours.
Finally, you can try my friend also, he'll send you the episodes through AIM as well. His SN is MailingError, you can probably find him online just about any time, but he has the bad habit of not putting an away message up, so just deal. Again, first come first serve.
Anyway, the GTO series kicks ass, so I don't mind this, just don't be an asshole and IM me every 5 minutes. It takes around 4 hours to send a file, so count on one person getting one episode a day.
Start writing good torrenting instructions I suppose...

I purposely don't leave an away message on btw.
that way if someone was gonna IM me and they see an away message, they won't IM me anything. but if it looks like I'm online, they have no option but to IM me no matter what.
