From what I understand Nanase Miyuki is a character from book 4.

Assuming that they're going with Oda's manga for the anime... there will only be the Locked Room story from the first book, which should take no more than one or two episodes depending on the pace.
Then 5 or 6 eps for each of the remaining books.

Yakumo looks just like Zwei from Beetrain's last series, Phantom. Not surprising considering Minako Shiba was one of the chara designers there as well but... I didn't think they'd look that similar.

I'm not at all fangirly for OnoD as Yakumo, but the mention of the one word 'Tantei/Detective' in the title is all it needs to shoot this up to the top of my watchlist. Just hoping that the supernatural aspect will not be too intrusive, though..

Oh wow. Based on those scenes, I think the series will go farther than where either manga has reached in the novel series. Which makes me very happy.

Eps 1 & 3 are from the first novel and ep 4 begins novel 2 material. Not sure where the white fox story is from though.
This bodes well for a possible second series. Doesn't look like they're going down the manga route.

The Opening theme "Key" will be sung by Jangled Cat/Ono Daisuke and is composed by R · O · N.
The Ending theme "Missing You" is by Komine Lisa

R · O · N is also the composer for the soundtrack.

Oh, so that's the song they used in the trailer, nice. If the OP is any indication, R.O.N's score for Yakumo will be sweet. Komine Lisa is also good, haven't heard from her in a while.

^ I don't think anyone can answer your question for sure yet. But if I had to guess, I would say it's a mystery of the week hopefully growing into story arc episodes with an overarching season story revealing Yakumo's past.
