Most scans of Saki are RAW (every ch. is scanned) . And only the first 2 volumes and chapters 50+ are translated. However, I found that if you understand Mahjong rules, you can understand 80% of the story in competition parts even you can't read Japanese language.

Actually, The Yuri moments in manga are more soft than what you see in anime. Don't hope too much.

Er, the Saki manga is scanlated up to volume 6, and from chapters 56 on. So basically the only hole is volume 7. Everything else is scanlated. I think the manga is a bit lighter on the yuri but its got skyrocketing levels of moe. It's definately a great read either way.

Finished reading ch 69. Nothing much. Just to mark the start of Kiyosumi's round against the powerhouses.

Go, go Jindai!

Uh? So Jindai is the senpou? That's kind of... surprising. Let's hope super Yuki's(tm) tacos power/super training/anger at hearing people belittling Nagano's mahjong level can hold.

Wow. What's with all these high level players playing first? First Mihoko, now Jindai, and in the future, probably Teru. Poor Yuuki. Ouch!

She already evolved into a super hero. Now they are the ones who have to get used to her. Yah, really.

The more confidence you have, the harder you'll fall.

Tacos is gonna have a hard time later. Maybe she'll be the one trying her best to end the game faster.

Jindai is still a mystery, but the little details interest me so far. Just the shot of her rolling her sleeve back to throw a tile just screams moe to me.

lol.. I just cant see how Yuki can beat someone of Jindai class..

But during the 70 chapter, they did mentioned that Yuki is a monster level of player, talking about her ability to win at the East round..
(something of the level of Saki/Nodoka maybe?)

The quote is here.. "常識の外にいる生き物モン"
Probably translated as one who go against the law of physics..

Is there any kind of forum that concentrates all of the early spoilers for English speakers? Like AQS for negima? The Saki forum over here is kind of dead except for 1 or 2 days a month.

a shame jindai's team had to be eliminated straight away in order for kiyosumi to qualify,i really like miko(for a school uniform,it's the first time i see it)outfit,it really suit her(emphasize her breast).
i guess no one will underestimate kyosumi ,afterward.

Not entirely sure I'd agree with that. In the regular storyline, maybe, but the manga did have that special chapter which aired Nodoka's views on same-sex relationships...

Shiromi's character looks interesting. Her demeanor is just l3 c00l, and her kind of risky kind of intelligent playing style looks interesting(look how he intentionally did her two discards about Yuuki declared riichi wanting Jindai to call on them. Maybe she's one of those flow altering characters?). This could be a really interesting first match for a change.

From the tournament bracket, the best two out of this match will qualify, and then again the best two for the final.. so Eisui/Kiyosumi is quite given, at least for the first match.

Talking about 70
Spoiler:

I need to do a sheet with names for myself after breakfast

But I'm very content with this chapter, _the_ mahjong is back and with all the small details it's very fun to read.
