Arios did not perform well in S2, but I'm just saying it's because of the pilot and screentime allocated to said pilot rather than the machine itself not being well designed. Of course GN Archer is the technical extension so it should factor into the Arios design as well just like the Tail Booster and Missiles Containers were equipmet also designed for Kyrios. (and the GN Archer acts as both of these too)

Again: I'm not disagreeing. I'm simply saying that the Arios' only show of force was against the Garazzo, which was almost immediately nullified by 2 Small GN Fin Fangs.

To the defense of the Fin Fangs, they came from the Reborns. The most technological advanced mobile suit at the time. It probably had a very powerful processing system that made the fangs more deadly than usual.

That, or the producers couldn't think of a better way to take Hallelujah out of the equation. Imagine him going straight for the Reborns. He'd probably get himself killed, and we don't want that, do we?

If your going to be felled by Fangs, going down by close-range exploding Fangs of a Twin Drive suit is the way to go.

Ah yes. First likely by Ali and then by giant Fangs. Poor Nena.

In my eyes, the reason why Arios got "owned" by Ribbons' GN Fangs was because the 2 wings on the Arios was blown off from destroying the Gadessa. I mean, isn't the main source of Arios' speed his wings? If the wings were still intact, then maybe the Arios could have dodged and destroyed the fangs.

Those aren't it's main speed and are not it's main thrusters, which are in the backpack, legs and feet. Maybe just a bit though.

It's more of a mobility issue really, it could have an effect a bit but those aren't it's primarily thrusters, still it could have affected AMBAC bad enough to reduce it's mobility stat a bit although the entire body structure/articulation-potential as a whole determines the AMBAC and subsequently the mobility. Still binders do usually play an intergral role in it as well.

Of course, Reborn's Fangs were quite deadly and them going suicide explosion on Arios really does not make the odds better. There's also the fact that Ribbons' is a QBW user so the Fangs' accuracy is also more deadlier than those of none QBW pilots. I think even if the wings are there, Hal would still be at a severe disadvantage especially if we're talking about ramming explosive Twin Drive-MS' Fangs.

Exia-types are the best at mobility so Kyrios-types should not be that sad really.

Is 00 Raiser also an Exia-type? I can't remember or acquire any description of an Exia-type Gundam...Other than it have it's GN Drive Chassis at it's back to maximize propulsion/thrusting. Other than that, I think Hal can match up with the Fangs but with the assistance of Setsuna...I think what made hard getting to Reborns is it's 4 Large GN Fin Fangs that can fire a blast with an output equivalent to that of Seravee's GN Bazooka...Also the fact that Al/Hal is not very good at targeting small things (Eg: Fangs) is also a major disadvantage to him and I think that's also the reason why Marie co-piloted the Harute.

Yes, the 00 Gundam was confirmed to be an Exia-archetype.

Hmm....Is there any available description of an Exia-type Gundam? Other than it have it's GN Drive Chassis (Cone) in it's back to maximize propulsion/thrusting.

Exia types have the best mobility among all of them because they were designed to posses the best human articulation according to the MG Exia. In regards to Exia, it was designed to leave some gaps in the legs armor to emphasize on the limb articulation which in turn allow the MS to have better mobility in general(because of AMBAC). This comes at the cost of lower overall defence especially at the legs because of the gaps but the payoff comes in Exia's getting-hit rate which is the lowest among the S1 Gundams according to the MG.

It being a close combat fighter and a melee users makes the articulation of the body(due to the swinging of swords) as well as the "mobility" of the whole unit to be vital to the whole thing.

The cone at the back is not related to Exia type in general however(Dynames has it). Exia is not even the best thruster out that when it comes to straight-line speeds. That role goes to Kyrios-Type, Exia's specialises in mobility rather than linear speed.

To take it further, besides the design philosophy for the structure of the two machines, their combative purpose are the same--they are anti-Gundam warfare machines. The Exia was given three different weapons meant to pierce GN-Fields and related GN-particle based defenses, and as such the 00 was installed with similar weaponry, made even more effective by the power of the Twin Drive System. Remember the quote in the preview for the next episode in season 2 episode 1: "It is a Gundam for exterminating Gundams."

Thanks for the answers! Another question, How did Setsuna managed to create a TAB like effect by using Raiser System and Trans-Am? Didn't the previous materials stated that 00 Raiser is only able to activate Trans-Am for 0.03 seconds? Is it possible that the TCS (Twin Condenser System) that Sherilyn Hyde is working on is finished before 00 Raiser Repair launched?

The 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G only had a single GN-Drive and a condenser, and required stabilization equipment, so Trans-AM was going to be risky anyway.
