oi oi you guys are dragging this way too far!

Its just base on you,me, and other people's opinion!

You guys are forcing this too much!

If your not satisfy you can always drop the anime and just go manga route!

I don't see how this filler is pointless, but I agree that 1/2 or 3/4 an episode would have been enough to cover this part. However, the only thing that made me think it was stretching was when Sora-chan repeated countless times that she has freaking Udon as lunch. LOL That was funny in its own sense though so I'm not complaining.

Spoiler for Ep 4 image dump x14:

Cannot wait for next episode.

Mmmh, you could think like that as manga reader, but I believe that to many people who don't read the manga, Keima was appeared like a guy who loves galge so far, but not in a sick stadium of total alienation like this episode showed. So, while the episode could be shorter, it wasn't a waste of time at all.

Heh~
This episode was probably better than all of the girl-getting episodes so far.
(Then again, episodic template-heroines and a so-called otaku trying to get them can only be interesting to a limit...).
And perhaps as expected, but the director of this episode was different from every one before, being Takahashi Tatsuya (ToHeart, WA, Kizuato, etc.) and to top off the episode, Tenmon!
I'd wish more episodes was like this one, but not likely, I guess...

I guess one thing that made it so entertaining was the fact it feels so real...
Especially after reading over the KOTY stuff.
Graphics bugs, save bugs, system destruction bugs, route bugs, existence itself being a bug, unlimited delay works, etc. etc. Yeah, very real.
And as for the infinite loop... Endless Ei-

On the other hand, the protagonist... as always... ( -_-)
I understand, and even do, stuff like eating while playing, but playing in class? No. Just no... It isn't even common sense. And for some reason, the teachers don't take it up either. Great.
Then there is playing at night, near the school? Instead of at home.
Supposed to be an otaku or something, but not really in his role...

PS: I think the people on 2ch just love fixing up games by themselves, so I wonder why a patch hasn't been created yet... or maybe the protagonist doesn't search there.
Even then... Someone probably would have posted the patch on a more accessible site...

He's never had common sense to begin with. He's simply, like Ryuutai pointed out, totally absorbed and obsessed in his game.
The loop thing is just a huge shock for him, so he acted even more disturbing.
Also, the fact that he can perfectly answer correctly under his situation, playing a game and being troubled by it, is hilarious and awesome.

Indeed, the teachers can only scream at him and give him physical pain.
But his otherwise rational and logical way of thinking (= he's smart) makes up for his habit which in fact doesn't bother anyone else in his class.
Even if they took it away, we already know he's got a spare PFP.

This episode is a so-so for me.

God mode and chibi stuff were great. As epic as they were in a manga (or even better! Like God ressurection in class, with Gold Saint full power ^^ ).
But I think the anime director missed an important point.

In the manga, Sora is emotionless.
You can read in her eyes she is well aware of her situation, and has lost all hope to find someone able to fulfill her destiny.
She is trapped in a bugged game. Even her creators have abandonned her.
No one will ever see her drawing. No one will give her the sole purpose she ever had.
She's waiting in an empty, bugged world, repeating the same words again and again, forced to drive back any person dedicated enough to speak to her.

That's why the last scene, when she finally smiles with a "thank you" is a lot more powerful in the manga.
Because it's the result of Keima's dedication, his promise eventually fulfilled, who has gone through the loop of death, turning the tables by wits only.

In the anime, Sora is always cheerful and robotic.
She doesn't seem to realize all the trials Keima is going through for her.
This makes her a lot more simplistic, like a generic heroine, only here to get captured by the hero at the end of the game.

I know we're talking about a game character here.
But in Japan, everything might have a soul. And Sora is no exception.
Only Keima was able to hear her distress. And, as the knight he really is inside, he answered the call, defeating the dragon, making the impossible possible.

This mistake in Sora depiction leads non-manga readers to this :

Anime Keima looks like a complete jerk-nerd.
The fact that he answers correctly while being so concerned by his playing sessions are overlooked.
His superhuman analysis are brushed away.
His unbendable will is turned into blind game addiction.
Even his relative awareness on the school way is turned into "Elsie is such a ditch!" explanation.

Of course, Keima is all of that.
But he's also a lot more.
More intelligent, and perfectly aware of what he has given up and what he's ready to give up again for his ideals.

Keima is a man of convictions.
He sticks to his words, may it be for a mass of pixels (I should correct "especially" ).
It was blatant in the manga chapter.
But failed to be understood in this episode IMO.

The Sora chapter is one of my favorites in the manga.
The way it was carried in the anime...

BTW, the last scene is complete BS for anyone who knows the manga.
Keima said on his website he has seen the Sora ending, and nobody believes him?
IMPOSSIBLE!!!1!11!!!1!

True, Sora-chan herself could have been better.

Btw. that scene with the internet site was actually in the manga. The content of the site was basically copypasted for the anime scene.

Oh, this again. I don't disagree though. The little things often matter, and I can't say that I respect anime-Keima as much.

Hmmp!
I not only respect Keima but I believe in Him!

Well for a long run God has abandoned me but the God TWGOK aka. Keima hasn't!
I feel like a heroine not a hero (-_-)

Actually, I can understand some of yours complaints, because I feel that the adaptation is missing something in the characterization of Keima, even if the anime is really faithful about the main contents.
But we have to admit that it's early to say that his anime portait fails, many aspects of his personality that the anime missed so far, can be developed later.

It is surprising but this filler was good, Keima is very determined when it comes to heroines who need to be saved from bugs that just spin out of control

Also, you know there's a skip option. Despite that mini game which was merely added for the lulz he got to the particular loop numerous times within a small time span.
The dedication of going through all choices is probably the main thing people think of it as exaggerated, but that's just Keima for you.

And Ryuutai is right about it still being early.

Actually there wasn't a skip option. Keima mentioned it himself during one of the dodgeball games.

Oh, I thought the skip option was only left out for the mini game.
Either way, skip or not, his finger skillz are insanely fast.

I am the only one that thought that the episode was very good?, all keima's expression's and reactions were pretty funny, at some point i understand that the pacing got a little slow, nevertheless it was a good episode overall, this filler was entertaining cause captures can get a little too repetitive so slice of life episodes are needed to change the pace...
