Hopefully Shinbo won't play too much on his signature directing skills. I like Shinbo's older stuff (starship girl yamamoto Yohko, triangle hearts sweet song forever) but I think he goes overboard in Pani Poni Dash. A little of his signature directing skills is great, but doing too much actually make the show bad.

Now that more people are used to Shinbo's way of directing, go back and rewatch the first four episodes of Nanoha. They're very Shinbo.

and the genre would certainly attract a wider demographic. But I'm worried about that to be honest.

(If it does take over after Star Driver, then this will be a Spring 2011 show?)
