This is troubling to hear.

Just finished watching the 3rd episode of GOA, wow, what a ride! The only thing that irks me is the fact that they always have to kill off the gay relationships. Why
And that guy who did the double penetration thing was ultra creepy, the creepiest face ever. Seriously, they couldn't have found a more creepy actor. He kinda reminds me of that detective from Agatha Christie's Poirot.

You forgot the gratuitous amounts of sex... in every episode.
Most shows can throw in a bit of cleavage and a side boob and think they went pretty far. Spartacus goes all out and shows them screwing each other, to the point of it being soft porn. I wouldn't recommend it to the average viewer unless you're actually looking for a show with a high level of intensity. The series (especially Gods of the Arena) keeps you at the edge of your seat, and you get pissed when the episode is over because you want to know what happens next and 7 days is too long to wait. Spectacular show, but you have to be ready for it, or it will completely catch you off guard... like almost all of us in the first two episodes of Blood and Sand.

gods of the arena ended. i have to say it was very satisfying. they wrapped it up in such a way that it actually makes sense as to what happened in blood and sand. Gannacus is such a likable character. moreso than spartacus. haha.

i finished blood and sand. what a great way to end the season. I was tense at the end when Anameus was fighting Asher, because i could sense some sort of plot twist or something. Anameus is really too cool to die.

If you're okay with intense gore and explisit sex scenes, yep. I personally find this as one of the best shows I've seen in years, if you liked movie slike Gladiator and 300 and you'r eokay with the details above, you'll definetly like it.

Gods of the Arena ending was a nice surprise. It's like you know something has to happen because of what you know the situation is like in the future, but they totally blindside you with this really cool and unexpected move that still fits perfectly. Good job by the creators.
As for the casual nudity and sex, I've found that when there's so much it, the mind pretty much tunes out during the sex scenes and they become sort of an intermission, much like if they ran commercials during that time. About the only time that didn't happen was during the scene between Gannicus and you know who, because of the poignancy of the situation of these characters, both of whom I liked a lot. |
