I'd love it to be true, but I doubt we'll know anything about secret characters until the game is released. I don't wanna get my hopes up and assume there are some only to find out there are not, but the way they positioned the Character page just screams it.

Many fighting games also have alternate costumes, so there's a possibility that you will be able to play as BATTLER (but he'll have the same abilities as regular Battler).
There's lots of potential for that here, because most of the characters have other costumes (Battler-BATTLER, Beatrice-SuitBeatrice, Lucifer-OtherStakes, Shannon-Sayo, Virgilia-Kumasawa, Ronove-Genji, stuff like that).

Yes. In fact, the opening shows her summoning... seagulls, and her hat actually transforms into one of them.

So... IF, and I'm saying IF, someone like Erika or Dlanor were to be added(I'm personally doubting it), who do you think their seiyuus would be?

head swaps might be confirmed, but the way fighting games work, I would rather see a new character than two alt costumes.

That'd make sense if it didn't also have playable characters. I see Eva-Beatrice's staff too, so say you played Battler & Beatrice against Eva-Beatrice & Virgilia.. they're all also in the background. Also, Ronove is in the background too, so if you play him, that's also weird.

They could program the stage so that certain characters will not be in the background if they are actually fighting.

But, they could, and thus, *being in the background* isn't an excuse for anyone to not be playable by this logic.

What I'm saying is, Gaap could very well be playable despite "Being in the background".

I'm just suggesting other possibilities.

And I've actually played a fighting game where background characters are gone when someone is playing as them, so I know what I'm talking about.

I figured, I was just reminded of my days on Nsider's Smash Bros board when the Smash Bros dojo unveiled the "Smashville" stage.... Soo many people went crazy when the Animal Crossing character "Tom Nook" was in the background.
