I marginally support them as a couple, although Nao's arc is my least favorite. The story isn't compelling, her personality is blah, I don't like glasses girls, and big tits are good only up to a point.
The best thing their relationship has done is to highlight how insufferable Sora can be.

I am finding that this arc is a bit harder to enjoy, I guess, for the tenser atmosphere. Nao has done wrong in the past and feels guilty for it now, but I find her demeanor frustrating and annoying. Sora is acting extremely like a spoiled child and emo b***h. It is hard to feel an emotion attachment to either character right now.

I hope the final arc with Sora will be better. Her moody deamor makes me feel down, too.

So it looks like there won't be a Kozue arc, even though I really like her character design. It's a shame, since I bet I would like her a lot (and more than this current arc).

Sora isn't being "insufferable"- it's just that she's been confined to a hospital most of her life, is still physically weak (heh doesn't affect her in be*), can't do much for herself at series start so depends on Haru, is socially awkward due to her lack of interaction with anyone except him and basically views him as the only person who ever really stood beside her in her entire life. Then she sees someone raep him, and now it seems that that very same person is going to take away the only one left who loves and cares for her. I think she's allowed to be a bit difficult in the circumstances

btw it's Nao

I'm certainly in support of them as a couple.
All that may be true, but at least we can understand the reasoning behind it. We know that Sora spent a lot of her childhood in a hospital(thus her poor social skills), we know that Haruka was really the only person she felt close too, and we know she witnessed Nao raping Haruka. Add to that that their parents just died(although at this point that just seems like a plot device for getting the twins to move back), and now Haruka really is all she has. So to see him immediately start fawning over a person that Sora would most likely hate regardless of the situation, and then to catch them having sex in the same place where the rape occured, while ugly, her actions are completely understandable. Sora's actions are all informed by everything that's transpired in her life up to this point. Nao on other hand...Well she seems to have raped Haruka to comfort herself, then felt bad about it and became depressed, and stayed depressed until Haruka returned years later to comfort her.

^That's the huge difference between Sora and a certain other little sister this season. Sora's actions in this episode are easily understandable, and even excusable. I don't find her insufferable at all, her tantrum upon seeing Nao and Haru have sex out of the blue was justified. Seeing them do it all those years ago must have been traumatic for her (she said it herself, she didn't even know what they were doing, but she knew it was bad). To be honest, I expected her to react more violently than she did. Additionally, after Haru decided he still wanted to be with Nao, Sora hasn't tried to come between them, instead, she's distancing herself from them to let her brother live his own live, even though doing so makes her suffer a lot. So no, I don't find Sora annoying at all. In fact, she's the one I feel bad for in this arc (granted, I'm very biased towards her in the first place).

Nao and Haru should stop assuming the problem will disappear overtime. Sora and Nao first need to have a heartfelt discussion if they ever want to make up. Haru telling Sora he was going out with Nao would have most likely lessen the impact of seeing them have sex, too. At the very least, she wouldn't have felt as betrayed.

Spoiler for ep8:
Yeah, Haru continuing to grin and thrust like an idiot while looking at Sora was just hilarious

The maid omake was funny as always (Akira ate a whale ) but it doesn't look like it's going anywhere now. Are they just going to bang every week from now on?

Well possibly. Rabbits are pretty territorial (heh) and also apparently (I quote) "some rabbits will only bond with one for life and once it dies the remaining rabbit will have nothing to do with new rabbits and will end up fighting with any other that goes near it." Which doesn't have much to do with being lonely but still. Or maybe we're taking the whole WMG thing too far
No, that does make sense. Making only one bond and then being alone after the mate does is loneliness. Let's see if our resident experts have anything more to add.

I am really loving the music too. It all flows so perfectly.

Haru is thinking with his other head and heart! He knows when to advance and everything...quite smooth.

Sora has every right to be angry and upset. Her only family member is being taken away by a big breasted glasses girl. Big breasts makes her a natural enemy and then add on everything else, I don't think she is out of line. She put the curry in the sink while she could have thrown in across the room or something. She also didn't do anything public or what have you.

I face palmed that. The idiot wouldn't stop, I guess he was hypnotized by her breasts a little too, lol.

They are still funny but I think it would have been better if Motoka was the first six episodes and that classmate who we haven't seen since the first episode was the final six. That would have been a nice change.

Was the scene where Sora catches them having sex supposed to be funny? Because if not, that has to be one of the most narmiest things i've ever seen. I almost pissed myself laughing when Haru turns his head round and still keeps on going. XD

I have decided to borrow one of the Haru pumping GIFs posted here, where Sora's still looking on and put it on my blog when it goes up tomorrow, hoping it doesn't violate Wordpress' TOS. "

Oh Haru, I feel for you. Surely that was halfway done.

Oh Sora, I feel for you too. Dun worry, you're up next soon.

The omake was brilliant. Akira wins.

Haha, natural enemy. It's true that Sora could have done much worse, like throwing the curry on Nao's face. I would have loved to see that actually

Some nice 'dawwww' moments, but overall a little boring. I forgive it though, since it's not the end.

Akira eating the whale... And I think Motoka's quote is the best one yet....

Personally, I like both Nao and Sora. Their feelings and desires make perfect sense to me. It would be lovely if everyone were perfect, but none of us are, and that makes us more interesting.

To be honest, I love tsunderes as they usually end up being my favorite characters; but, due to her unfortunate and unique circumstances, Sora is on a completely different level than your typical tsundere. For this reason, I support her as a character and hope one day that her strong dependency towards Haru gradually diminishes and she can find her own happiness. However, I feel many people not only sympathize with her, but also are hoping she and Haru become an intimate couple. That is one thing I can not support with Sora being the way she is. Even if they get together romantically, it would result in a very unhealthy relationship whereby Haru would constantly feel guilty when in the presence of other girls who'd act friendly with him and Sora becoming hostile to them to the point any interaction between the three would be tremendously awkward and tense. Besides, I have a feeling her possessive nature would actually get worse - imagine that - if they were to be a couple.

Wow, what has happened to Haru in this arc? I think I just lost most of my respect for him.

Maid omake continues to be hilarious.

Some yandere action would have been fun. It's always a nice way to spice things up. But we have plenty going on here that we don't need the yandere to bring the series out of rut. It's not like they're saving a loli in a cylindrical tank with a predictable outcome that was putting me to sleep.

Concerning the time back then when Nao and Haru had sex - I wouldn't say it was rape at all, it seemed very consential from Haru's side. It was him in the flashback who fondled Nao's breasts out of his own accord, without being forced, and Nao fully enjoyed it. There's nothing to indicate that Nao forced himself upon him.
After the act, Haru was simply totally overwhelmed by having had sex for the first time and didn't know how to react. Possibly Nao hadn't planned for them to have sex and had only wanted Haru to fondle her breasts, but they both enjoyed it that much then that they went ever further, until they eventually had sex. Having been carried away, they didn't quite know how to handle it.
About why Haru was lying on his stomach: that was simply so they didn't have to show his "mushroom with cream"

With the maid "assaulting" Haru with her body in the side arc at the end, that wasn't rape either, or they wouldn't have been lying that peacefully next to each other after it.

You're really missing out big time there! Yosuga no Sora has a much better usage of the omnibus format than Amagami. If you're bored by lame stuff like kissing the back of the knee, this is the show to watch!
Haru is a better protagonist than Jun'ichi in Amagami, and there was only little of Sora so far, she'll only really have any noteworth screentime in her arc at the end. If you should still dislike her by then, you could simply skip it.

Well, first of all, welcome to last week. But secondly, you are just factually wrong about this; there's no way around it. Rewatch the episode and pay more attention. She placed his hand on her breast and enticed him. He was surprised and confused by Nao's advances. The look on his face afterwards was definitely not that of someone who "enjoyed it". If it was so consensual, what was the whole point of the plot of the episode? Why was Nao so apprehensive? Why did she think she was hated? Your interpretation of the plot simply makes no sense.

That isn't to say that there isn't some degree of range into how you can interpret what happened... but that's outside the range.
