I didn't mention this before, but on the relationship front, this episode feels like it's moving away from a possible incest route, and probably towards a Kyousuke/Kuroneko romance.

Yeah, the fact that Kirino is finally cutting ties with Kyousuke with the last counseling, and Kuroneko longing for a brother to take care of her will be a high possibility in my head.

Do you have any concept of "age of consent"? Without her parent's signatures on those contracts (manuscript->novel publishing, Novel->anime adaption) they wouldn't hold in court. The publishing company would be in deep shit if anyone found out. In fact with the nature of these thing it is more likely that her parent negotiated the contract on her behalf in the first place.

As for the help bit you are not taking context into account, his daughter is sick due to being bullied into doing something she doesn't want to. All of his actions are out of concern for her and this case goes beyond anime and is something he can understand. He might even have a few favorite literature of his that got subpar adaptions so this is certainly something he can relate to. What he thinks of Kyosuke has nothing to do with this situation.

Well, it is called "Life Counseling" and playing eroge games that are just insanely perverted (judging from the title, they are probably extreme because Kyousuke sounds surprised) Kirino might want to learn something from eroge games as a life lesson

True. On the other hand - and that's an argument that was barely touched upon - Kirino's story was successful as it was, gimmick and all. Remove the gimmicks and there's no reason for her fans to watch.
