btw, yeah, it's very good imho. and not just for the ecchi/fanservice. but, at this point, I highly suggest you to wait for the BDs to come out, since 2 of them are already out. It's worth the wait, I think.

I'd say it has potential to be surprisingly good but not better than Samurai Girls.

The problem here is with the setting, impending world doom = girls bitch fighting with each other.
Now I got no problem with girls bitch fighting with each other but with impending world doom as the backdrop, just doesn't quite sell it for me.

But really, it's Freezing's fault. There's just no reason for these girls to be fighting each other. Absolutely no valid, logical reason. Non whatsoever. Usually the mags take from the series and all. Amagami's were really spot on in this regard.

For a series like this anyways, what I meant was along the lines of the particular action being taken, or maybe I'm just wishing Hyakka Ryoran had it's scenes taken from the posters (which I have to say, currently none). I mean, it never happened...

Well, if you ask me, I really never accepted Freezing's take on the fighting girls genre. Here you have girls who are supposed to be fighting things much larger than themselves, and instead they beat the crap out of each other. And at the end of the day, they brush it off like it never happened. I can understand Ikkitousen, it's a bloody tournament, but not these girls abusing their anti-alien powers on each other

Imagine if a Tony Hawk game, skater on the cover, has him playing basketball instead.

Yea the girls bitchy infighting is rather stupid on the whole, should never have been about impending world doom and about tournament fighting instead.

The story should have been a government sponsored project of Survival of The Fittest, where these girls beat the living daylights out of each other to graduate. Why throw in invading aliens when these girls are doing a fine job of beating each other up
