Well, too bad it isn't an OVA collection, but at the same time, it's not DEEN but ufotable so that automatically makes me have hope it'll look good at the very very least.

Also no waiting period is somewhat of a plus.

I was up for waiting, but yeah it'll be nice for a change.

I'm all for this being a TV series. Especially 26 episodes if possible.

Maybe it will be a 12 episodes. The light novel has 10 volumes.

The Fate/Zero has four volumes and seventeen chapters (plus a prologue before chapter 1). So what's number of episodes should be ?

sorry, i just say it because you say 10 volume before.

usually 3-5 vol of LN have 12-14 EP of anime

while 9-11 vol LN have 24-26 EP of anime

so 4 volume of LN will making sense if the make 13 EP anime.

they can go to haruhi style where they have 6 ep for each novel. but i dont think that they will go that way consider it have more action

They already said that the plan is to cover all of the novels along with adding in some material. There's no way 12/13 episodes will cover all that.

I also expected/preferred movies/OVAs, but TV can work, since there wasn't any explicit ero in the novels (to my very limited knowledge). Also 2-cours makes more sense; as for the requirement of prior knowledge from F/SN, it helps to increase enjoyment, but that's why these script-writers and composition guys work ... so it won't be a requirement ... despite many times miserably failing

A bit disappointed it's a TV series, but it's still Ufotable, so I'm fairly confident this will be good.

I honestly don't mind either way. I'm all up for an anime aswell. I have enough trust in ufotable to know they won't let that screw up the story.

i dont think so. because of number of volume and how heavy is the action on the novel.

even with 13/14 ep anime they can add some of original material without being rushed

24 ep anime will be simply way to long

There's a hell of a lot of material in these novels, especially in the first few i've read. I don't want a rushed adaptation.

Either way, we'll just have to wait and see what's announced.
