It's actually an interesting business tactic: botch a couple of episodes of an otherwise good show so people will at least buy those episodes in DVD to get the proper version. Genius I tells ya! Genius!

Don't worry, those shows have very decent animation. I think that the animation in Soredemo is actually very good.
I'd say that it's far from being called genius. Intentional doing that would result in an uproar and hurt the sale instead. Shaft could get away from it because they were lucky that people understood their dilemma. But due to the huge success of Bakemonogatari, if Shaft pull something like this once again. I'm sure that people don't forgive them anymore.

Remember that Bakemono wasn't the first time they failed to meet deadlines, it's happened before on Hidamari Sketch and people were still willing to forgive them in Bakemono even though that was the 2nd time around and on a much larger scale to boot (almost every Bakemono episode aired incomplete).
But if there's anything that's genuinely a trait of Shaft, it's masterfully masking corner cutting. If they goof up again, i don't think people will go as apeshit or be as unforgiving as zato imagines. As long as it gets fixed in the DVD's it'll be fine i reckon. If they were intentionally goofing the episodes up in order to drive DVD/BD sales that's another matter altogether though, but i don't think Shaft are the type to ever do such a thing or atleast i sure hope they aren't.... lol

I believe that people was willing to forgive them in the past because they thought that Shaft was a small studio and understaffed. Even if that is still true but because of the huge success of Bakemonogatari. People may not think that way again. Of course, this is just my speculation.

and whats there to forgive? their anime, their corners. it's not like they aired an ep uncolored or something. and fans will forgive anything. what can they actually do? haruhi trolled the fans, but i bet ppl still buy the disappearance movie. any amount of butthurt fans will still result in some profit as will a series of almost any quality. i'm just thankfull that shaft has a skillful director at least.

HOT DAMN!!
Out of all things, a movie. Huzzah!! EDIT: Read halfway down the Kizu thread. It's far from comfirmed, just a slip of the tongue, they could've just been entertaining the idea of a movie for all we know. http://forums.animesuki.com/showthre...t=95955&page=5 Got all excited for nothing lol

The more I think about it the more unlikely the series is gonna get fully animated. I mean Kizu is in 2012 that mean Nise isn't gonna be out until like 2013 and Neko 2015....Koi 2022. Would the cast and staff even be alive by then?

Hey you guys, this isn't really Bake related but rather Bake-fandom related. I'm sure some of you guys have seen that NTR image of Oshino and Senjougahara doing each other while Araragi has his face buried in his lap. Well it turns out that it's not actually any of these characters. It's actually from a NTR VN called "Hoka no Otoko no Seieki de Harande mo Ii Desu ka...? 3 Boku no Shiranai Tokoro de Iki Kurutteita Saiai Kanojo -Kimajime na Gakuen Fukukaichou-".
I always thought that the image was kinda weird since none of the characters look like who they were supposed to represent. |

Spoiler for translations:
God, these cracked me up...more than last year's! So, no Shinobu as usual, and no birthday wishes for Hitagi this year? No wonder I couldn't find them yesterday - they must have gone up pretty late! SHAFT's scheduling problems extend right to extras like these, huh?
