Saikano Vol. 2 Page Verfication (Viz version)

i just got home from buying the new saikano gn from viz today and i was surprized to find that several pages were actually totally black or blank. If anyone of you have purchased it also or have the original raw manga can you please verify if the pages are really like that or did viz just commit a mistake. The pages are 24-27 of the introduction which are totally black (well i guess its for effect but why 4 pages of total black) and the last page of the last chaper has not "to be continued" sign at the bottom; it is then followed by a blank page.

Anyways thanks in advanced for those who can help.

It's supposed to be like that. I can't tell you how many dozens of people e-mailed SC (when we released it before Viz licensed the manga) about those pages telling us how stupid we were for not noticing them and then apologizing profusely when they realized the truth.

Since there's no way to express the destructive power portrayed, Takahashi decided blank pages were the best possible solution. Of course, putting a little note saying "This is supposed to be like this." would ruin the entire effect... >_>

And the last story page in the Japanese edition is an outside view of the explosion in the school building during the earthquake. With the students looking on. The next page is blank aside from the sentence at the very bottom explaining that pages 24 through 27 were not mistakes.
