I'm new to forums. How do u put a pic in your sig strip?

at the top... underneath the banner that says "Animesuki Forums"... there should be a nav button called "Quick Links" ... in that nav panel... there should be another button called "Edit Signature"...

or... you could just go click the button "User CP" which is located underneath the banner as well... and edit your signature from there... it's pretty easy actually...

Yeah, a lot of us have sig pictures. It's fun and family friendly....well, most of them are.

Not me, but hopefully soon. (but never the family friendly part) ^_^;

Just found a good image, but the size limitations are a little difficult to match regulations without it looking ugly and deformed, so good luck making one/keep on making them.

I think that this question is better asked (and answered) either in the apty named Help on images/signatures or the slightly less obvious, but more popular Workshop for Avatars, Signatures, etc. (ChibiWorkshop v2). I'd suggest that you read both since they do cover slightly different topics.

what are the rules to uses the pictures on signatures? and how do I add them to my profil? what are the steps I need to take ?

1. Sig size rule is in the regular rules thread. (500x80) or 50000 pixels (If image doesn't take up a lot of memory)

2. [ img ]:Insert url image here:[ /img ] (Fill in the spaces in the tags.)

3. Follow the qualifications.

when it's 500x80 you're filesize can be 50Kb, if the height is over 80 (maximum of 150) then it can be 30Kb large.

For the picture in your signature to work, you'll have to upload it somewhere, I see you're referring to your HD, and unless I have the exact same pic on my HD, I won't be able to see it.

From the forum rules.

• Signature Images
  Putting images in your signature is allowed. However the following limitations apply:
  • Maximum imagewidth 500 pixels for all images combined.
  • Maximum imageheight 60 pixels (with maximum 2 lines of text in your signature) or 80 pixels (without any additional text in your signature) for all images combined.
  • Maximum filesize of 50000 bytes for all images combined.
  • Any annoying signature images (either because of animations or content) may be removed at the sole discretion of the administrator or moderators.

I don't mind if the vertical limits are twice the above BUT only if you make a trade off with the file size. My rule of thumb is that you may go up to 160 pixels high but only if you bring the file size down to under 30,000 bytes and have no additional text.

Image only (no text)
500 x 80 pixels and up to 50,000 bytes
or 500 x 160 pixels and under 30,000 bytes

Image and text (max of two lines of text)
500 x 60 pixels and up to 50,000 bytes
or 500 x 120 pixels and under 30,000 bytes

Text only
Maximum of six lines of text (using standard height text).

If I see any sig over limits after a warning, I'll award the owner a three day holiday from the forums

where can I find someone that makes sign?

I want a signatura of Shikamaru that says

ShikaGuyver's Fan Club

then shikamaru doing something like throwing a kunai or doing a technique ^_^

try the chibidusk workshop in the General chat. if you have a specific image in mind, i suggest you give it to them. if you dont mind what the pull out of their hats....

I've edited your sig so it now works, I've also merged the thread into this one. I suggest you look around before creating a new thread, this thread Signature Problems / Questions, was clearly visible in the Forum & Site Feedback forum. Plus you can always use the Search feature.

As for your sig, it required an [img] tag, not a <url> tag. Also note that your current sig exceeds the limits as requested in the forum rules. See this post as well and note the ban warning. So you better fix it before it gets removed.

Its easier for me to edit my sig on PaintShop Pro what ever version it was, then upload from my machine. Without It my sig looks like 5 different Pics.

Is my only other opinion is to find a site to upload from?
-1 more question, how come we can't post attachements from our machine?
-ok another 1, using attachments from other "url" , is this our only option?

All attachments are disabled. Reason for this is that they'd fill up the database fast and storing
files in the database is not very effciient in the first place.

There are plenty of sites you can upload images too though, check my signature for one!

User CP > Edit Signature > Paste your picture url and add [img] tags > Click on "Save Signature".
