Hi guys. I'm new to this forum so thought I'd come and say hi!

I'm kinda a guy that's on and off with anime/manga. Even though I really like it, I don't watch, read a huge amount of it, but hoping to get into it a lot more. Currently I'm reading Full Metal Alchemist, but my favourite manga of all time is Akira.

I'm a would-be writer that interested in doing a series of stories in a manga style, so I joined this forum to see if anyone can recommend some good manga that might inspire me. I like stories with a fantasy/sci fi edge, but with a little bit of humour.

I joined because I have a high school break and I needed to burn some time. I like watching and talking about anime... a lot. This seemed like a rather active place.

Besides the big 3, the only other anime in the "Popular Anime" sub-forum I have seen is Madoka Magica. I have started Fractale, and I hope not to go on page long discussions about that too.

I am new to the forum but I have been downloading from animesuki for a very long time =)

I do have a small request - I am doing a research paper on anime and western fan groups. I have a small questionnaire (its literally 7 questions) and you can remain anonymous. If anyone is interested please message me and I can get the questionnaire to you.
