Gulp, then it seems that the training arc is going to take some time after all, I wonder how they are going to stop Tsukune now, and revert him to a more normal state... if that is possible of course...

Still, it's not like I expected a smooth transformation, but I certainly didn't expect that, and since it seems that the chapter has ended with this, it seems we have to wait a whole month to see how Tsukune is going to recover, after all I don't think Tohou Fuhai is dead yet, but he is probably going to have to change to his more powerful from to recover his wounds and somehow stop Tsukune, who's powers are definitively out of control, and it might be even possible that a part of Tsukune's Shinso powers have awakened as well, due to Tohou Fuhai's modification ritual...

Another short chapter. We finally get to the part most have been waiting quite awhile for and he's short changing the chapters. Also I couldn't help, but think of the movie Underworld when I first seen his transformation...

I'm starting to think that Ikeda is purposefully doing that, to draw more suspension from his readers... still I think that I can forgive him for that, considering what has been contained within the chapter...

After all, considering how Tsukune's new form looks like, there is more to vampires then what we knew earlier, and I can't help it but wonder if Tsukune will be able to control himself in that form later in the series, since it certainly looks powerful...

Well it looks like my predictions on unleashing the beast were bang on. Tsukune has definately passed the 'am I still human?' boundary with this

Woe betide people who get in his way on the way to Moka if he starts to gain more control on the power unleashed. His transformed form with its animalistic bat and vampiresque qualities is definately reminiscent of Kahlua's shapeshifting ability, albeit on a more complete scale. Wonder if he'll pick up some shapeshifting ability like I mused on quite some time ago.

If this is down to his Shinso blood it'd also seem to backup my beliefs on the Shinso blood acting as a sort of vampiric potential multiplier; which brings out and enlarges potential based on the host, rather than all bearers developing in an identical manner, as whilst he shares elements of Akasha's regeneration he's definately developing in his own unique manner.

So chapter 41 coloured page; Tsukune's new form?

Well, I definitively agree that Tsukune has crossed the boundary of being a human and that probably Tsukune's Shinso blood has awakened as well, causing Tsukune's transformation into his new form...

I also agree that it might be possible that the Shinso blood reacts differently depending on the persons potential, since after all Tsukune's development proceeds in a different way then Moka's, despite having the same blood as her...

Of course, part of that change, might be because Tsukune had been originally a human, but I don't think that such a simple difference between Moka and Tsukune could lead to such drastic changes between their developments, so probably the Shinso blood within Tsukune has some influence in this as well...

Still, it remains a question on how Tsukune is going to recover, since with Tohou Fuhai being knocked out, I doubt the others are powerful enough to be capable of stopping Tsukune in his new form...

Well, it depends on how much Tsukune's human consciousness is overwhelmed by his vampire instincts in his new form, meaning that I don't think the solution to Tsukune's recovery, is going to be as simple as that...

Still, we probably won't know how Tsukune is going to recover until the next chapter comes out, which I hope is going to be longer then the current one...

Regarding our previous discussion on how Moka is going to react if Tsukune's appearance becomes more vampiric, well at this point I think she is going to be quite shocked about it, if she sees Tsukune in his new form...

Well, that might be a possibility, but we probably need to wait for the chapters translation to come out, before we could confirm that...

Still, I don't think that Tsukune is going to be capable of controlling his new form for some time, and is probably going to need some new kind of seal to recover his human form, since I don't think that the Holy Lock is effective in still effective in suppressing Tsukune's vampire abilities...

Of course, it means that Tohou Fuhai would need to regain consciousness, or Tsukune would need to find some other way to regain control over himself, which doesn't seem to be plausible, at least not without any outside influences...

In order to face some fighters who were extremely powerful, Negi had to learn the dark magic Magic Erebea, which feeds upon dark and negative emotions, something the kid had plenty of, due to traumatic memories... and it turned him into a beast as well. However, I believe he was brought back by a combination of the girls he cared for, and his father's voice inside his head (since his father is his idol)

So my guess as to how Tsukune is going to recover: perhaps a combination of the girls, and maybe the telepathic link that we've seen on occasion between Moka and Tsukune

On a side note, I expect Shinso tsukune to come around and start going "I knew something like this was gonna eventually happen!!"

Yeah that's probably going to be the case, since I don't think that she's going to leave Tsukune like this...

After all, I believe that the next chapter is going to be concentrated on trying to help Tsukune in regaining control over himself, in which I think that all of the people currently located in Tohou Fuhai's dimension are going to be needed, since most likely Tsukune in his new form is a lot more powerful then he was before...

Still, I believe that the others are going to find some way to return Tsukune to a more "normal" state, but we are probably going to wait for a few chapters, before that happens... although I hope that the next chapter won't be such a short chapter as the current one...

It might be possible that the connection that Tsukune has with Moka is going to help Tsukune in regaining control over his body, but we are probably going to wait for chapter 41 to come out, before we will be able to verify that theory...

Well, this is very interesting, i was looking forward to a whole new Tsukune in Ch40, but this is unexpected.

I wondered if the technique itself was designed for pure blooded humans?, or for humans with ayashi blood inside them?

But i was expecting the unexpected during the ritual.

This form that Tsukune has assumed, is no doubt the result of the Shinso blood definitely going out of control. However, i think that this form of Tsukune is the one he assumes before his new controlled form.

But i wonder if he caught Touhou off guard or if he overpowered him, either way, i could say i almost fainted when i saw this, Tsukune's uber badassness.

Tohou sets up a barrier telling Tsukune he's going to put 109 needles in him. Each needle will feel like having his flesh torn off and it'll only get worse as it progresses. Each needle, connected to youkai strings, apparently reconstructs his cells and weaves pathways for youkai into his body. After putting in the 108th needle Tsukune is half comatose. Tohou says there's no way he can take the 109th and goes to take a break since he's pretty weak atm for all the youkai he's used for the reconstructing. Suddenly all hell breaks loose and Tsukune's lock breaks completely and he goes into ghoul mode, but as we seen in a different look...

On the Kurumu front. Mizore says her herself will follow Tsukune regardless who he has in his heart. Kurumu however is different in that being a succubus, she lives on love and affection that she gets from Tsukune. That's why she feels empty and if Tsukune chooses Moka in a final sense she may probably die. Gin makes his move and tells Kurumu that all she has to do is forget about Tsukune. Then Kurumu gets a bad vibe and goes looking for Tsukune and those whose seen the raw knows how it ends...

lol looks like Touhai unexpectedly got facerolled by Tsukune. After what he'd heard from Mikogami about Tsukune, you'd think he'd have been a little more careful until the procedure was finished.

Does sound like Tsukune, once he makes it out of this, is going to have got a relatively substantial power boost though, as not only has he damaged his lock badly suggesting its no longer strong enough; but his body itself has been reconstructed in a manner that will allow allow his vampiric youkai to manifest and be channelled much more effectively.

Even if Touhai was heavily weakened, he may have to appraise his stance on Tsukune not standing a chance against Akua, now he's seen Tsukune's ghoul state and the power it symbolises.

This is definitively interesting, based on what I understand it seems that Tohou Fuhai's human modification ritual caused Tsukune's body to become adapted to the Shinso vampire blood flowing in his veins, but his mind wasn't capable of keeping up with his bodies transformation, which is probably the reason why Tsukune's powers went out of control...

Still, it remains a mystery on how Tsukune's human mind will be capable of recovering from this, since with the Holy Lock being broken, it's not like they can suppress his powers and hope that he is going to recover his mind from that, so either Tsukune is going to have to take control over his rampaging powers with the help of his connection with Moka, which is going to help Tsukune remember for who he was doing this in the first place, or Tohou Fuhai needs to recover and make a new seal for Tsukune to regain control over his powers, and at this point both of those options are plausible...

Regarding Kurumu's romantic problems, for now I think that it still remains to be seen what she is going to do about her unrequited feelings for Tsukune, and I think that the author is going to keep Kurumu's dilemma unresolved for some time, after all with Tsukune's power's going out of control it's not like Ikeda can keep developing the romantic side of the R+V manga...

At least not until they manage to get Tsukune's vampire abilities under his control...

Whilst not entirely the same I also wondered about the similarity in power going out of control and spawning surprising forms. It did make me wonder whether Alucard was originally a human as well, given the little we know about him, and what we know about the vampirism process for one not born of the species. If he obtained Shinso blood in a similar fashion and then tranformed in the way he did mentally and physically, it could be why vampires (along with the possibility of the death of the subject) avoid the process. Call it a cultural decision/stigma.

Obviously that is just pure speculation based off what I remember we've been told of him, and is probably WAY off.
