So that's like the prologue in half an episode, and little bit into CH1 in the other half. Sounds like the pacing is medium ~ medium-fast...? Seems like the tweets are praising the art a lot but I'm mostly just worried about the pacing.

Hmm, Steins;Gate was listed as a 24 episode series on TV Saitama's site a few days ago, but they've taken down the info again. Ah well, I guess it's at least a good sign.

Fate/Zero will probably air in Fall, that's when they stack up the hyped shows typically.

I gotta say, after watching the PV and game trailers Steins;Gate seriously become one of my top highly anticipated anime for the upcoming season. I might be looking more forward to it a bit than C, but we'll see how they both go.

Also sorry for my ignorance, but what does this '1 cour' or '2 cour' mean that you guys mentioned a bit earlier in this thread?

A "cour" is the word the japanese use to refer to a period equal to 3-months regarding a tv series, so usually 12/13 episodes. So if it's "one cour" it means that the anime will run for 12/13 episodes, two cour would be 24/26 and so on.

There is no need to watch Chaos;Head to be able to get into Steins;Gate. In fact, I have never did so myself

I also find the team-up of Madoka Magica and Steins;Gate to be unusual, but not only because their genres are different. Isn't Madoka ending soon? If so, what is the point for a series that has ended to collab with a soon-to-be-released series?

Nitro+ staff has been heavily involved in the creation of both Madoka Magica and Steins;Gate. In fact, there are some parallels in both plots. However, the anime is produced by a different production team, so the style of the animation and character will be different.
