can you break a program into mulitple pieces?

I was wondering if there was a way to take a 1.5 gig or something program and break it into small enough peices to put it onto cds?

use winrar to split it up or another similar program that supports file splitting

yea, here's the exact bitsize for 700 and 650 mb (respectively)
734003200
681574400

Generally you do 1048576 * MB. 1048576 being the amount of bytes in a megabyte.

I got that by doing 1024 * 1024. The first being the amount of bytes in a kilobyte, and the second the amount of kilobytes in a megabyte.

umm...ok DigitalisAkunjin not sure what that had to do with anything but ok....

can you explain how to do it with Winrar cuz I looked threw it and couldn't figure it out.

The reason he said it, is because when using winrar, you need to specify the amount of bytes in which you want it.
Asuming you have WinRar installed, (and the shell extension), rightclick on the file you want in smaller pieces, and click on "Add to archive..."
Here you can specify the filename, compression method and all that. On the bottom left, theres a "split to volumes, bytes" box thingy. In there you can either choose from already configured sizes (like 700MB or 650MB) or you can specify your own size by using bytes.
